One Complicated Love Story

Chapter 8

I quickly sprung up and out of Harry's arms as soon as I heard the loud voices of the boys and Demi coming in the house.

"Boo bear! I'm home!" Louis yelled.

Harry shot out of the sofa and ran towards Louis engulfing him in a bear hug.

"Boo bear! I missed you!"

We all just laughed at the bromance the two had going on. I looked up at everyone and saw that Niall seemed kind of, upset. Hmm. I wonder why.

"So, what did you two DO all day? " Demi questioned wiggling her eyebrows. I guess she found out about the rumors.

"Oh you know, just hung out."

As soon as the words left my mouth, Niall got up and speed walked into his room. Everyone turned to look towards Niall's direction but then ignored it, starting a new conversation.

"I'm going to bed guys. It's already 10:30. Night!" I said walking up the stairs.

I wanted to talk to Niall before I went to bed and make sure he was okay. I gently knocked on his door and heard him yell.

"Go away! Leave me alone!" he yelled.

I ignored him and opened his door. I sat at the end of his bed and placed my hand on his shoulder as he was laying face down on his bed.

"Hey Niall. What's wrong?"

He shot up and looked me straight in the eyes with watery eyes, tears threatening to spill any minute now.

"I thought you said you didn't like Harry?"

"Niall, we're just friends. Nothing's going on." I said trying to comfort him.

He seemed to have calmed down a bit but still had watery eyes. I then notice a single tear fall down his cheek. I took my right hand and whiped it off of his face. As I was about to pull away, he took my hand and held it to his cheek.

"Will you hang out with me tomorrow? I mean, only if you're not busy."

"Sure, why not. Go to sleep Niall." I said stroking his cheek.

"Jen, will you lay down with me till I fall asleep?"

"Sure"

I got in bed next to him and played with his hair which seemed to calm him down and made him fall asleep. Before he had entirely fallen asleep, I heard him mumble my name which I thought was really sweet.

"Night Niall. Sweet dreams." I said kissing his temple.

"Night Jen. I love y..." he began but had fallen asleep.

Was he going to say " I love you'? I smiled weakly at him and tip-toed out of his room quietly and into mine. I slid into my bed and shut off the bed side lamp. I couldn't help but fall asleep thinking about my day with Harry and at the same time, looking forward to hanging out with Niall tomorrow.

"How could you Jennifer! I trusted you!" said Niall.

"I thought you were different from other girls. I didn't think you'd be this way. I never want to see your face ever again." yelled Harry, at me.

They both walked away from me as I cried out after them.

"Wait, Let me explain! I didn't mean to! Please, don't leave!" I cried and pleaded but it was no use. They were already gone.

I then shot up from my bed sweating and my heart beating really fast. I instantly started bursting into tears. Why does life have to be so complicated? Why do Niall and Harry like me anyways? Why did I have to like both of them at the same time? I hate this! My life sucks! Just then, my door slowly creeks open and reveals Niall.

"Hey, are you o..." he trailed off as he saw me sobbing.

"hey, don't cry. It's okay. It was just a bad dream." he said engulfing me in a hug as he soothingly rubbed my back and whiped away tears that had fallen onto my cheeks. We stayed like that for about half an hour with my head resting on Niall's chest as we sat, with him rubbing my back in circles and by now, my face was tear stained. He slowly got up but I held his arm before he fully got off my bed.

"Stay with me?" I asked.

He smiled down at me and hugged me even tighter.

"Of course."

He layed down in bed with me. I buried my face in his chest as he pulled me even closer into him.

"Go to sleep Jen."

"Niall?"

"mhmm?"

"Sing to me?"

After those words left my mouth, Niall begun to sing 'Stereo Hearts' by Gym Class Heroes. I instantly fell asleep to his angelic and mesmerizing voice.
