One Complicated Love Story

Chapter 5

~Harry's P.O.V.~

As soon as Louis and Zayn had finished picking out the movie and Demi and Liam each handed us our Chinese take out, we all turned to see Niall and Jennifer come out of the kitchen holding hands. I then started to feel a pang of jealousy wash through me. Niall didn't really seem to be Jen's type so I shrugged it off. She seemed to like guys who were more outgoing and confident from what Demi had told me. We all knew that he was upset about the whole Demi and Gregory thing, so maybe she just went to comfort him.

~Jennifer's P.O.V.~

So as Niall and I entered the living room, we saw that the boys had picked out Paranormal Activity 3 to watch. I'm absolutely petrified of scary movies. I tried playing it cool by just shrugging it off and acted as excited as I could be. I saw that they were all already eating their take out as well. We all took our food and the movie downstairs to watch in the home theatre. Everyone found their seats; Louis next to Harry, and Liam next to Zayn and Demi. Niall was sitting by himself in the love seat, so I ended up sitting next to him since there wasn't anywhere else to sit. We turned all the lights off and as we all got settled into our seats, we heard a loud bang of thunder! Now I was even more scared. I was pretty sure Niall saw me because as the movie began to play, he held my hand underneathe the blanket we were buried in. I then felt that spark run through me again and this time, I had butterflies in my stomach. I just smiled to myself and held his hand back. During the scary parts, everyone jumped and hid behind whoever was sitting next to them. Stupid surround-sound! I swear, you could hear every single movement the characters made in the movie. And the huge screen really wasn't helping either. Zayn and Niall didn't seem to be scared at all. They looked more, fascinated than terrified. Everytime something popped up on the huge theatre screen, I would be under Niall's arms. We were practically in each others arms the whole movie but no one seemed to pay any attention to us since they were all too occupied with the movie. Once the movie was over, Niall and I awkwardly unwrapped ourselves from each other and looked at everyone else.

"tha, that was really freaky!" Louis said.

" I think I'm gonna head on up to bed now. Night guys!" Liam announced.

We all decided that it was time for all of us to go to bed since it was already 1:00 in the morning. As I made my way towards my room, Niall came up to me.

"night, Jen. Sweet dreams." he said so whispering.

Then the unexpected happens and he quickly kisses me on the cheek. He quickly walks to his room since it was the one next to mine and shuts his door. It took me a while to process what just happened. DID NIALL JUST KISS ME?? I suddenly felt all tingly and butterflies started to form in my stomach again. Before I knew it, my face grew into a huge grin which I couldn't seem to get rid of. I walked in my room, got ready for bed and was about to hop into my bed until I heard my phone ding.

Harry: night beautiful. Sweet dreams. see you in the morning.

I stared at my phone and just re-read the text over and over again. Oh gawd! Niall was right! Harry likes me too! But, I'm kinda starting to like him too! Oh gosh, I hope I don't get involved in those stupid complicated love stories! I laid in bed for what seemed to be hours just thinking about what I'm going to do with how I felt about Niall and Harry, until I felt my eyes closing in on me, and before I knew it, I was fast asleep.
