Chapter 36
Dahyun's Point of view...
INSPECTING every corner of my newly acquired room, Chaeng-ie nodded her head as she says: "This place doesn't look bad. The interior's just plain, maybe you should add up decorations here and there."I put all my attention to her suggestions and took note of every helpful things coming out of her mouth. I'm glad that I have an artistic friend. I had been living here for four days and I could only fix my room just today when Chaeng-ie lended me a hand. ⊙﹏⊙
After discussing about the arrangement to do to transform my room, Chaeng-ie helped me fixed my stuffs that were kept in my luggage for four days too.
The eonni line is not here anyway. They're pretty busy preparing for the interschool competition.
Going back, four days ago, my 2-months contract for being Chunghee's personal tutor had finally ended. Entering inside his room feels like entering a horror house, however, tutoring him is fun especially when I finally got used to all his creepiness, plus, it also serves as my practice for my future profession. But, I still decided not to renew the contract anymore. I can't bear to bother the Kims even more. They had fed me, let me live at their house, and treated me like I really belong to their family. I doubt that I could pay all their generosity to me one of these days if I continued living with them.
However, I'd be lying to say that it's the sole reason why I decided to move out and cut my connections with them. Because the truth is, I was hurt. All these time, I was fooled. I feel like I'm the dumbest person alive. I thought they're not close with each other. But it turned out that everything's just planned. That might be the reason why Jungkook became my classmate, seonsaengnim must've helped him enter the school and be at the same class I am in. However, I still don't understand the reason why they had to put an act to me. What I have done to them? As far as I remember, Jungkook's the one who left me when we were young. Isn't he being unfair?
ㅡㅡㅡㅡㅡ
IT'S almost 6 in the evening when Chaeng-ie's phone rang."It's my brother. I wonder why he's calling," Chaeng-ie mentioned and immediately swiped on her phone's screen to answer the call. I just let her talk over her phone while I fold my clothes and transfer them to the closet that Chaeng-ie lended me. "Mwo?!" she exclaimed which somewhat startled me. "Omo, I forgot about the dinner! Ne, ne, ne. Arasseo, arasseo! I'll be there in fifteen minutes!" Chaeng-ie panicky exclaimed while quickly picking her bag on the single-seater couch inside my room. She's leaving now?
She cupped the edge of her phone and apologetically faced me. "Dubs, I need to go now. It's appa's birthday today and we're planning to surprise him."
I smiled at her, held unto her shoulder, and tapped it lightly. "Gwaenchanha. You helped me a lot today. It's fine, you can go now. It's a relief that you're going out for a dinner, I don't have anything to prepare for us to eat though," I kidded and we both laughed.
"As you mentioned about that, d'you wanna come with me? Mrs. Oh prepared a lot today, I'm sure eomma and appa will be happy to see you too," Chaeyoung said and tried convincing me to join their family celebration for uncle Son.
This time, I am the one who do an apologetic smile. "Sorry but I can't go for now. I have a visitor tonight," I reasoned out.
She squinted her eyes on me and a playful smirk made its way on her lips. "Is this visitor's name spelled as E-U-N-W-O-O?" she asked in a teasing way.
