I didn't know where I was heading but I thought it would make it look a bit more dramatic, so I left. I just went for a walk to pass the time.
Cole's pov
She just left. I don't know where the hell she went but the dramatic exit was everything. I kept laughing, he was so funny when he got told by women, which was a lot. "she told you" I say with chuckles, Jace just looked hurt, which was hilarious.
"shut up" he says laughing. I grab two glasses of whiskey and we sit and drink for a bit.
"so how is your father?" I ask Jace, he adjusted the way he was sitting, I could tell the question hit hard, his father was terrible, his father would hit Jace from time to time for not doing his job "right", but me being a great friend and the son of the mafia leader, I talked to his dad secretly, telling him to stop abusing his son. I got beat up for it but I did what I did for Jace. We were like brothers.
"Uh- he is drinking again" Jace says nervously taking a sip. "That piece of shit, he shouldn't be hitting you, it's not what fathers do!" I shout getting irritated. "I'm gonna have a word with him, I'm the leader and he will fucking listen to me!" I say firmly placing the glass down on the counter.
"No no don't! Please I know you want to do whats right, but he will hit me again, if you speak he will do it again!" He says with a pleading voice. "Jace I will not let that man hurt you, he isn't your father when he treats you like that!" I explain. "I'm sorry Jace but this has to be done, he will be warned!" I say leaving Jace alone in my room.
Jace's pov
I always got hit. My father always hit me, I wasn't a perfect son. Never good enough for him.
I love Cole but he can't just deal with my issues. My dad especially. He is my brother. If he gets hurt, I wouldn't live with myself.
I heard the door open behind me. "Col-" I say but it wasn't him, it was Athena. "Hey, I wanted to say I'm sorry about earl-" she says with a slight disappointed face expression. "No I deserved it, I need to fix how I talk to women" I say slightly laughing, and she joins me. "Hey where is Cole?" She asks scanning the room. "He went to my father, to sort something out" I say losing the happiness I just had. "Oh um wanna watch a movie to pass by time?" She asks. "Sure" I say taking this as a distraction.
We started watching mean girls, which we both ended up hating and watching lion King instead. "Hey you're not so bad once people get to know you" Athena laughs. "Yep thats me, so tell me about you and Cole" I say with a smirk. "There isn't much to say" Athena looks down, I didn't miss the light pink tint to her cheeks. "Mhm, don't lie, I saw those eyes and the drool on your chin when you look at him, let me say, he has never looked at any women like the way he looks at you" I express and she smiles. "Yeah were close, pretty close actually, the truth is, I care for him, which I shouldn't because its Cole, me and him can't!" She says in frustration. "You love him" I say staring at her, the way she talked about him, she loved him. "How do you know that?" She says chuckling. "Because I just know, I can't tell secrets" I say winking. She just chuckles. "You watch romantic films don't you?" She asks smirking. "I- no!" I say laughing. "You so do!" She says.
"Hey, guys whats going on here?" Cole walks in taking a glass.
Athena's pov
Cole walks in with a smile. He seemed quite happy. I don't know why but It made me have butterflies.
"See the two of you becoming besties" he says smirking sitting next to us. "He is a softie too, he is happy were happy" Jace says and I chuckle a little. "I'm not soft" Cole says and I blush thinking of the wrong thing, I could see Jace new what I was thinking cause we both bust into laughter. "What?" Cole says. "I'm not soft, okay Cole" Jace says in laughter. "No I'm hard" Cole says smirking staring at me. "I-" I didn't know what to say, I felt my cheeks heat up.
"And thats me leaving, you too have fun, use protection" Jace says winking and then leaving. God he was going to be so fun to hang out with.
I faced Cole who stared at me. "What?" I ask blushing he just moved closer. "I missed you" he says giving me a hug. This was so sweet, I hugged him back. Then we feel into a nice nap.
Jace's pov
I walked in thinking they would be awake. Instead they were sleeping. "Oh god, they are so cute, my bro really be falling!" I said taking his phone.
However Athena was slightly awake. She turned looking confused.
"This so needs to be on a wall!" I said proudly taking a picture. She laughed.

"WHO DIED!" Cole shouted in panic. "Cole what the fuck" me and Athena say laughing. He just looks so tired. "Oh sorry whats wrong" he asked. "You and Athena were cute cuddling so I took a photo" I say proudly showing the picture. "Send me that!" Athena says happily. We look at her both of us smirking. "What its cute" she says with puppy eyes. "Sent!" I say.
