"Shame on you!" Xuanyu said, hands folded in front of his chest. "You really take them as your servants, huh? They came from far away, to help you get rid of the evil thing without any reward. How old is your son? He should be 20 at least, doesn't he understand human language? The cultivators told us again and again, that we cannot touch anything here and not enter the west yard. But he himself got out of his room and stole the flag. It was his own fault. Why you blame me?"

Mrs Mo was speechless, taking deep breaths as she just listened. The masked girl couldn't hold back the smirk on her lips, feeling satisfaction for the perfect way he had voiced out everything and put that woman back to her place.

The woman started to shout at her husband, telling him to move everyone out but he simply stared and let small growls. It did not go unnoticed by the mysterious girl, who quickly moved to a different part of the shadows; just as the servants helped the man out of the house.

Then she felt it. Like a small electric current going down her spine and that dreadful feeling on her stomach. Before she could move, the man had tossed one servant to the side and turned to face her with pure white eyes.

Damn. The spirit already moved bodies, she thought but did not move as the cultivators joined at the sound of screaming.

They tried some of their usual talismans, but they simply deflected off the veined, possessed and long-nailed arm of the man. He tossed another servant to the side and he went to attack Mrs Mo, who had passed out on the stairs from the sight.

The gentle-natured cultivator used another rope talisman, quickly trapping the possessed man, then all of them moved to circle him. Their blades were drawn and pointed at him.

"What is that?" one of the disciples asked him.

"It is fiercer than we expected. Send a signal to Hanguan Jun" he instructed, causing the girl's eyes to widen.

If he is coming here, I better move and stay hidden, she thought but decided to watch as Xuanyu seem to be similarly shocked by the name.

"Ha-Hanguan Jun?" he repeated, approaching them. "Are you talking about that...Lan Zhan?"

He was ignored for a moment as the disciple turned to his fellow teammate, who seemed to be the leader of their group. "But when he left, he didn't tell us where he would go".

"Wait. You mean he is nearby?" Xuanyu asked, only to be ignored again.

"It doesn't matter. Let's send him a signal first".

This continued for a whole minute before a bright blue sphere was sent to the sky. It stayed there, able to be seen from long distances. Then, the disciples left to form a plan of action, leaving the madman alone.

Sitting down, he placed a hand on his temple and left out a sigh. He did not like the idea of that certain cultivator showing up. It's not that he did not truly want to see him, but he could also not allow him to find out the truth.

Unaware to him, the masked girl was leaning on the golden wall with a very similar expression. Leaving another sigh, she glanced at him before moving to a better hiding place.

From her better new position, she watched as the now three infected people had been gathered there. Sealing and protection talisman were everywhere inside and outside. Mr Mo and his son were dormant, standing inside a red circle that would contain them.

The latest infection, the servant who helped the Mo heir was tied to a table. Only to soon wake up and try to attack them. To everyone surprise, he seemed to be left by his left arm which was more transformed and possessed compared to the rest of his body.
