The next was long and along with the face, it almost looked like a snake. Yet, it seemed connected to the rock which now looked more like a sort of tortoiseshell. The soldiers quickly grabbed their swords and pointed them at the creature.

It let an animalistic roar and lifted its neck higher before slowly moving its head around. It didn't attack them and instead, it looked as if was looking for something.

"Don't move" Wangji suddenly said once he realised what was going on. "Its sight is bad. Don't make a sound and it won't attack us"

The creature turned its attention to Wuxian and Wen Chao, the former having his hand above the latter's mouth in case he tried to make any noise. It came closer and closer, the teen trying his best to keep his hostage quiet while listening and waiting.

However, the Young Master Wen couldn't take the fear any longer. He freed his mouth and immediately shouted. "Wen Zhuliu! Save me!"

The beast was angry and wen for an attack. Lingjiao screamed and Wuxian kicked the coward with enough force for him to land on the main ground.

"Asshole!" Chen commented as the man was picked up by some soldiers and was rushed away from the creature.

The Archers wasted no time in trying to attack but the beast's skin seemed too hard for their arrows to penetrate. Wuxian jumped and landed next to Zhouan before turning his attention at the creature.

"Stop pestering us," he said and created a talisman before sending it to the creature.

It did no damage whatsoever and instead angered it more. The creature grabbed with his mouth and archer, its sharp teeth tearing the flesh as blood spilt. He then tossed him on the other men, knocking them all out.

Jin Zixuan went next, using the sword to attack and try to injure the front face of the creature which was coming too close. However, no damage again and was pushed with force back by the hard-skinned head.

"Young Master!" Mianmian shouted as Cheng went next. Wuxian and Wangji joined him, the trio trying to fight the beast from different sides.

"Out of the way!" Zhouan shouted and everyone looked at her, seeing cutting her two fingers with the blade before writing a talisman on thin air.

They all obeyed and watched as she finished and sent the symbol towards the creature. It tried to stop it with its head, but it only stuck on its skin. Making a symbol on the air, the talisman disappeared as strong waves of electricity hit the animal.

It roared in pain and she smiled slightly in success, only to drop it when the creature recovered and was pissed off. It aimed its open jaws at her, but she jumped back, making it bite the ground she was standing less than a second ago.

The men quickly went back in attacking, her joining as well. Wuxian grabbed a bow with three arrows and aimed but a new voice made him change his target.

"Help!" Mianmian shouted as she was held by two guards while Lingjiao was holding her iron, which was scorching hot.

Wuxian released the arrows, hitting the two men on the chest and the prostitute on the arm, causing her to fall and drop the weapon. However, she was not done yet and grabbed it again before tossing it towards the scared disciple.

He wasted no time to run and jump, shielding her with his body and letting the iron hit his chest instead; forever marking his skin beneath. Wen Zhuliu was then ordered to fetch Lingjiao as Wen Chao, Lady Wen and some of the men retreated back to the entrance.

Cheng went to follow them while the others were busy fighting the beast. They threw their torches and even grabbed the bows and arrows from the ground before shooting. All their tries were fruitless.
