Brought Back from Dust

Mana's POV:

They watched amazed as I continued kneading the dough for another seven minutes. Both of their pieces had combined into one. I allowed the dough to rise again. We talked while we waited. Firefly, Toga, trusted me almost instantly but Shigaraki was more hesitant but he slowly started opening up after a while. His posture slowly relaxed, his shoulders slowly becoming more and more relaxed as we waited. His shoulders would tense at any loud noise or sudden movement, but I was smart enough to know that telling him would put him on edge. So, I just tried to give more verbal warnings.

Ember came in and set the stuff down on the counter. I set the three of them to making the dough into knots, while I make the Garlic Butter mixture. It became obvious that they had become their own little family and both of the boys saw Toga as their little sister. They both babied and teased her. As I looked them, I felt like I was at home with Izu and Kacchan.

I but the butter on the Garlic Knots and put them into the oven. I then grabbed another cup from my bag and filled it with water, I added Ember's favorite flavoring, blue raspberry. He happily sipped away at it while he conversed with the others.

"What about the rest of the garlic butter?" Toga asked me out of nowhere.

"It'll go on them after they get out of the oven," I said.

I noticed Shigaraki's bandage leaking. Toga started fidgeting and sniffing the air. I quickly handed Touya the first aid kit. I motioned to Shigaraki and he quietly led him out of the room. Both seemed reluctant to leave us alone together but Touya seemed to trust me. I grabbed the trail mix and iron supplements from my bag.

"Hey, sweetheart can you focus on me for a second?" I asked Toga calmly.

"Blood need Blood," she muttered as she turned to me.

"Don't let me hurt anyone," she whispered momentarily snapping out of it, before the mantra started again.

"Hey, can you take this for me, it'll give you what you need? I promise sweetheart you just need to trust me." I said softly.

"It's not gonna make me sleepy is it?" her vulnerable self poking out.

"I promise, I'll take one first see," I downed the pill in my hand then poured a second out and offered it to her. She took it hesitantly and I passed her water to her and she swallowed it.

"Here, take some of my trail mix," I said offering her the plastic bag of nuts, seeds, and dried fruit, "I'm gonna go check on the boys. Come get me if you need anything and I mean anything"

I walked to the door the boys exited through and knocked softly. I heard a soft come in and opened the door. I saw both of them sitting perched on the bed in the room.

"If you guys are alright it time to come back in," I said they followed me in to the room surprised to see Toga calmly eating trail mix.

"Hey sweetheart, are you feeling better?" I asked after receiving a small nod I continued,"Can you tell me what your quirk is? I promise no one will be mad."

"I-I drink people's blood then I turn into them," She said hesitantly.

"That makes perfect sense sweetheart, now normally when someone has a quirk involving blood it affects something within their own blood. I assume by drinking a little bit of someone's blood you don't turn into them for two weeks, so that means that your body burns up blood a lot quicker than anyone else. Now this isn't a bad thing and it doesn't make you a monster what it means is that you need to eat more of certain foods so your body has enough blood to keep you going. Once you learn what those foods are it will be very very easy to do so and if you have a craving you can just carry some trail mix on you or a granola bar and eat that and it will go away," I said having encountered similar things before.

" Now someone is going to need to explain this situation more to me so I can know which course of action to take." Now after a bit of convincing they told me.

*The essence of what they told me is that they were a group of people who after running away for one reason or another while they were still children were attacked by heroes for doing things such as stealing food or occasionally in Togas case getting slightly out of control and trying to drink someone's blood. I was appalled by what the heroes were doing as that was very much against the law because unless someone was causing immediate harm to someone else the first thing that they should have done was talk to the person. In no way should they have tried lethal force on a minor which they had done for all of the people in front of me. And Toga was still only sixteen. I then asked if any of them with the exception of Ember had been old enough too or been allowed to have their quirk tested by a doctor. When the answer was no I went on to explain how each of their quirks would affect them; such as togas need for more vitamins, and Shigaraki's need for more water has when he used his quirk it most likely sucked moisture out of his skin as a drawback. *

The Timer on the oven beeped signaling that the garlic knots were done so I added more garlic butter to them and then gave everyone one or two after they were cool enough to eat and we ate them as we calm down and I thought of what to do.

"Ok here's my plan: 1st you two will stay here while toga and I go my first stop will be the police office where with one of my Contacts I will hopefully get custody of Toga and any paperwork she had before. Then I will swing by my house and pick up the boys, we will come back here and I will make everyone dinner. Then we discuss what to do in the future because there is absolutely no way I am letting this go on for you or anyone else. In the morning, I can walk the boys to school and get Toga enrolled if that is something she would like to pursue." I said once everyone had finished.

"Sounds good to me though I would like to know which school and how you could get me enrolled?" Toga asked.

"Who are the boys? Can they be trusted?" Shigaraki asked at the same time Ember asked, "Is my brother included in the boys?"

"Yes, your brother is included so you might want to fill Shigaraki in while we're gone, I am unaware if you know we were told when you went missing but because of what we were told I can guarantee that your brother wants to see you. In fact all of your siblings do and I can bring them another day if you wish. The boys includes my little brother, and Ember's little brother and another boy their age that I take care of most of the time as well. I have full custody of my little brother. To answer your question Toga the school in question would be UA high school now normally it's very hard to get into the school but with the fact that you have been wrongly accused it is very likely that I can get you in on the off chance that we promise not to Sue the people that wrongly attacked you. Anyway you would have access to for courses that you could take and I wouldn't think different of you if you took any course. There is the hero course that we all knew about and my little brother is in it as well as other people that I could introduce you to. The support course that I was in and then the business course and the general education course. If you wish to go to a different school that is completely fine but you could probably get any job you would want from the courses there." I said as I tidied up, until I turned back around to a shocked face and excited face and a confused face.

"He said he tell them that I had run away and that they would all hate me?" Touya said. I took his hand into mine after I walked around the bar to face him.

"What we were told was that you had died that you overused your quirk and burnt yourself into a pile of Ashes there wasn't even a funeral now we never believed that we always assumed that he had killed you and that this was just a cover up but we all whole heartedly believed that you had passed." I said looking him in the eyes.

"Now if it's alright with everyone then we must get going." I said
