Mana's POV:
I stood up and walked around checking in the fridge and freezer. I opened the freezer, nothing. Hmm. Fridge, one container of takeout and milk. Wow... OK, benefit of the doubt, maybe there's something in the cupboards. As I look up, I see Ember looking very worried, it seems like I might be disappointed. I open the cupboards, okay one full of instant noodle, okay, saw that coming. Empty cabinet, empty cabinet, another empty cabinet. How many empty cabinets are there? Six apparently. Final cabinet, and it was the basics; flour, sugar, yeast, and common spices. One drawer had basic nonstick pots/pans, a baking sheet, two medium bowls, assorted measuring cups. and a spatula and wooden spoon. Ok I could work with that.
"Hmm, ok, if I needed someone to go get groceries, just a couple don't worry, who has the best chance of coming back with what I want and no issues." I asked. (Also, I'm very white and don't know how to make authentically Asian food so anything I put is either white Asian things or food I just genuinely enjoy making. Ask for any recipes you want, and I'll post them on my account. If you want a recipe that's not there ask I might have it.)
Ember reluctantly raised his hand, when everyone's eyes fell on him. "Right now, I need to get some good food in you guys, I'll give you a list, I only have enough money to get that right now. But I promise I'll take a job tonight and we can all get comfort food tomorrow. While you're gone, I'll start making garlic knots."
The rest of the group looked curious when Ember started rocking back and forth on his heels, a small childish smile gracing his face. I handed him the list I had been writing with some money and pulled his hood up over his face, so it cast a perfect shadow. He scurried out the door.
"What kind of job are you talking about?" Toga asked having been the only one to get out of the trance the others were in.
"Oh, I have a healing quirk." I said. "Which remind me." I pulled out a bag of plain salted pumpkin seeds, and a water flavoring. "I assume that you guys don't like plain water." Various noises of agreement met my ears. I got three solo cups off the counter down and filled each with water. I squirted the flavoring in each and hoped they liked strawberry lemonade. I set one in front of firefly, and one in front of Shigaraki, then one slightly behind his.
"Why do I have to drink two and she only has one?" Shigaraki asked.
"First of all the one behind yours is mine but my goal is for everyone to drink at least two before dinner if they can you and Ember will probably need more then ask girls though." I responded. "May I ask why your holding your glass carefully?" I asked in return.
"My Quirk, I disintegrate anything I hold with all 5 fingers." Shigaraki mumbled.
I turned around and started rummaging through my backpack. I quickly located the medical clothes that I used when I worked on projects, they were several sizes too big as I didn't like them form into my hands and in this situation that was a very good thing. I removed 4 gloves and a pair of scissors from my backpack and brought them up to the table I put two pair together and cut off the ring finger on the other I cut off the ring finger and the pointer finger. I then using my hand as a model, put the ones missing 2 fingers on 1st and then the other I then proudly handed Shigaraki my creation. "Theoretically, with these you won't to disintegrate everything you touch because at no point will all five fingers be touching the same thing. Of course, in the future we can get nicer gloves but for now this will do will you try them out for me?"
Shigaraki looked touched and placed them on his hand and reveled at the fact that he could touch anything. He finally picked up his glass and started to pick up his glass and drink from it. Seeming much more content.
I wiped off then floured a place on the bar so I could sit and talk to them. Toga asked to poke the dough and the forced Shigaraki to do it too. The both seemed fascinated and so I taught them how to knead. They both tired after about forty-five seconds but that was really good for a beginner and so I combined their bits into mine and continued kneading while we talked.
