A/N: I have a surprise at the end of this story and I can't wait for you guys to read it when the story's done!

------------------

Inside the waterways, Kurochi was tending to her citizens and conversing with a woman who seemed to plead for some water for her sick husband. When the Queen nodded with a quick glance at her daughter, she had Shishi go deliver the said substance and watched as the woman bowed in respect and appreciation. "Hurry Inuyasha!" Kagome's voice resonated through the tunnel and made the Queen's attention move over in its direction.

"I'm trying, he's just so big! Is this what he really looks like?! Damn, he's a heavy bastard...!" Inuyasha exclaimed irritably and the first one into the room was Kagome.

The archer herself gawked at the number of people that had arrived since they left about an hour ago. Quickly her eyes turned to view Inu, who continued carrying Obsidian's giant form over his shoulder. "Wait, Inuyasha! Let me talk to Queen Suji real quick! Hold him there for a minute!" she hollered out and turned to view the Queen, who had a confused expression. She trotted on over to the center of the large room and gave a swift bow of respect to her as a greeting. "Queen Suji, Obsidian is in danger! He's dying from blood loss!" Her voice rose from panic and the Queen's mouth went agape.

"Let me see my son!" With haste, Kurochi brushed past Kagome and literally ran towards the tunnel. Kagome watched as she rushed over to Obi and lifted a brow. She was wondering why she wouldn't demand that he'd be brought further into the room where everyone else was at. So, she decided to follow after and chose to stand behind the Queen once she caught up.

Kurochi viewed her son who was laying next to Inuyasha and noticed all of the deep wounds he had; Inu couldn't carry him any longer, he was just too big. Blood trickled down his skin in so many places and it left a thin trail behind them, down through the tunnel; she gasped and raced up to him. Her hand softly brushed against his bat face and a single tear strayed from her cheek, yet, she tried her best to appear strong.

Her frowning lips and serious eyes indicated that she was doing her best to not cry over her beaten son. "No one should know about his true form...no one... No one knows about our family's true appearances, so..." she trailed off and stood up straight. "Only the best healer can know of our secret...!" she finished and turned to view Kagome. "Kagome, find Shishi and tell her to request the best healer we have here in the waterways! Waste no time!" she lifted her voice with urgency and pointed directly into the room she left from.

"Alright!" Kagome saluted and bolted into the room in search of Shishi. Kurochi faced Inu again and knelt down slightly to look at her son's agonized face.

"Don't worry, you won't die on me... I'll make sure of it!" She reassured and rubbed his cheek. Even though he was unconscious, she still felt the need to tell him that. Within minutes, Shishi came running into the tunnel with an elven mage to her side. The mage had short blonde hair and blue eyes, where his pointy ears protruded from his hair. Around his wrist was a similar charm Asashi had, it concealed his elven presence. He widened his eyes and instantly knelt down, gesturing for Inu to step back; Inu did so and watched the elf get to work.
