I Can't Get Away

I wake up to a loud banging on the door, "Jasmine open the damn door" I hear Jayson scream. Well not with that attitude.  I hear someone punching in the code for the room and River walks in with his brother behind him. Jayson walks up to me but River quickly steps in his way.  "Move, I have to talk to her" Jayson demands to River.

"You can talk from here" River says with a tone that clearly means not to argue.

Jayson looks pissed but he listens and turns to me. "Jasmine I'm sorry but you didnt have to climb in my brother's bed like a whore."

Excuse me? That sick fuck thinks that I slept with his brother. I get up from the bed and step in front of River and punch Jayson with all of my strength. "Asshole" I spit at him. He raises his hand to punch me back which surprises me. River wraps his arms around me lifting me a bit and turns us around so Jayson hits his back instead. With his arms around me, it raises my shirt up revealing too much since I'm not wearing underwear.

"Come on Jasmine I have a gift for you downstairs" River says as he pulls me out of the door. Jayson grabs my arm and jerks me back harshly.

"You do not get to walk away from me" he says as his grip gets harder on my arm surely leaving bruises. River throws a knife in our direction hitting Jayson in the shoulder making him fall. "Son-of-a-bitch" I hear him say as we walk away. River leads me to the basement, he stops in front of a door. He opens the door to a nearby cabinet and hands me some black leggings. I slip them on not caring what he seen at this point.

"Jasmine if you dont want to stay in there after I show you what's in there, then we can leave " River tells me raising my curiosity. I nod as he opens the door, I step into the room and my heart drops. In the middle of the room there is someone tied to a chair. Its Justin. I turn around and focus on my breathing. River steps in front of me and puts his hands on my shoulders. "You can do whatever you want to the bastard, I'm not gonna judge" he says while putting a knife in my hands. I nod and grab a chair placing it infront of Justin. There is so space between us but this doesnt scare me like it should. I'm pissed as hell right now and I can take it out on him.

"Aww ready for round two princess " he taunts at me. I clench my jaw, I want to slap him but I'm not giving him the satisfaction of a reaction.

"You fucking raped me" I scream as I stab the knife into his leg. He let's out a grunt but I wanted a scream.

"Hey you were a willing participant" he smirks at me.

"You didnt give me another fucking option" I say as I twist the knife in his leg. He let's out the scream that I needed to hear.

"Speaking of your motivation, how's you and Jayson" he says after he regains his composure. I look at River just cause I need to look away so he doesnt see the tear that falls from my eye. But he sees anyway "aw are things a bit rough now. Can he not fuck you now" he laughs.

I clench my fist "if you dont shut your damn mouth I swear I'll kill you" I threaten.

"Have you ever killed someone?" He asks with a stupid smile on his face.

"No but you can be my first." I scoff at him.

He gives a devilish smile "was I also your first when I fucked you"

I cringe at his words "nope, I'd never let you have anything that important."

"Hmmm, you were so tight I would have guessed you were never even touched." He says sending me over the edge I take the knife out of his leg and shove it in his neck. He chokes on his blood, I watch him as the life drains from his face. I'm surprised that I could do that, but I dont regret it, he'll never get to rape someone again. I turn to see a smiling River, was he happy that I killed him. He opens the door and grabs my hand gently pulling me out of the room. We get to his room and he punches in the code for the door to open. "1234? Really?" I laugh at him. We stop as soon as we step in the room, Jayson is setting on the bed with a gun in his hand.

"Get out" River demands causing Jayson to laugh. He points the gun at me. I walk to him causing River to tense up. He never moves the gun so when I get close to him the gun is pressing against my stomach.

"What the fuck is your problem" I ask coldly. He presses the gun even further against my body.

"After cock blocking me last night you fucked my brother " he yells at me causing me to flinch.

River speaks up "brother, you were raping her, I stopped you, I brought her here to be safe, we didnt do anything. " he explains calmly.

"I what?" Jayson looks at me in disbelief. I take this moment to grab the gun and tuck it in the waistband of my leggings.

I look at River, "were gonna talk in our room" he looks at me questioningly. "I have the gun, he cant hurt me" he reluctantly nods. Jayson heads out of the room, once he is out of sight I kiss River on the cheek and thank him. I go to mine and Jaysons room to see him hugging his knees and crying on the bed. I sit down infront of him and grab his hands kissing them.

"Jasmine I had no idea but I remember everything now. You told me to stop but I didn't."

"I forgive you, it's not that I didnt want to do it, it just hurt too much." I explain.

"I never wanted to hurt you Jasmine" he pull me into a hug and I lay my head on his chest. I stiffen when I feel him pull the gum from my waistband. I immediately jump off of him expecting him to point the gun at me. But he turns it on himself holding it against his temple. "Im so sorry babygirl" he says with tears streaming down his face.

"No, Jayson. Please dont do this. I fucking love you please dont do this." I beg him. Now I'm crying.

"This way I'll never hurt you again" he says looking at me with sadness. I sob, not knowing what to say. "I love you until my last breath" he says with a forced smile.

He places his finger on the trigger as he closes his eyes and my heart stops. "Marry me!" I blurt out. His eyes snap open as I walk to him.

"What?" He asks as he lowers the gun only slightly.

"Marry me, spend the rest of your life with me. Meeting you is the best thing that has ever happened to me, I want to spend my forever with you." I confess. He smiles as his grip on the gun lossens, I use this as a time to take the gun and throw it across the room. I get back on his lap sitting like I was previously. He kisses me slowly and personally as we both stop crying. I pull away smiling "was that a yes or a no?"

"That was a yes a million times over." He smiles as he reaches into the nightstand next to us and pulls out a box. He opens it and it revealing a gorgeous ring. It has a black diamond in the middle surrounded by dark blue diamonds the same shade as his birthstone. This is exactly what I would want in an engagement ring. "I knew I was gonna marry you one day so I was prepared, if you dont like it we ca-" I kiss him to shut him up.

"I love it, you picked out the perfect one babe" I smile while happy tears fall. He removes the ring from the box and slides it on my left ring finger. He wraps me tightly in his arms, standing up he twirls us around the room. "I love you Jayson idk what your last name is" I smile.

"And I love you soon to be Jasmine Deluca"

"I like the sound of that" I say and hug him. Today has been an emotional roller coaster but it had a good ending.
