Nine

The light breeze tingled wherever it touched my skin with the sweet smell of flowers and wet soil mixed with it. I inhaled the air feeling calm. The sunlight dancing on the wet petals of the flowers shined brightly. I looked at the fallen petals.

What a fate? Yesterday they bloomed so bright and beautiful catching everyone's attention and now look at those same scattered on the ground, stepped on by everyone. The more you bloom the more you have the risk of falling down.

Maybe my assumption of the world and its occuring was a bit harsh. But that was the ultimate truth afterall. What is the point of trying to hide the pain to see the happiness when you already know that its just temporary, memories, happiness, pain everything is temporary but the effect it makes last forever.

I shrugged looking away from the trees to the children playing on the ground. How innocent they were not aware of the cruel world outside.

"P'Nine." The sweet voice came from behind. I looked around to see Joong standing there smiling ear to ear.

His face was also innocent just like those children. Seeing his face I felt like guarding him, protecting him from the painful world.

"P'Nine. What are you doing here?" He asked me running towards me.

"Passing by. What about you?" I asked.

"I came here with my friend. But he dumped me." He said pouting making him look more innocent. I smiled at it.

There was something going wrong with me recently. I had been smiling a lot which was not so me. I shrugged again.

"P' Will you get some food with me? I'm hungry." He asked me hesitantly.

I didn't want to reject his proposal but if I didn't hurry Ben would chop off my head for sure. I gave him an apologetic smile.

"Sorry Joong, Maybe next time. If I don't go on time Ben would bury me alive." I said.

His smile faded but still he gave me a small smile nodding. I turned around walking away.

"P'Nine." He called again. I looked at him confused.

" Uhmm...P' can I get your number?" He asked me nervously.

I usually didn't give my number to anyone else other than my bestfriends but saying him another no was not a question.

I nodded taking his phone in my hand and typing my number in it and the smile I received from him in return was priceless.
