CHAPTER 4 = GOLD
(Narrator's POV)
The next morning, news spread that the cult leader and his wife had died in their sleep (Or so they thought.)
A few days later, Doma became the new leader of The Eternal Paradise cult. The young (H/C) haired girl was delighted to know that her best friend became the new leader of the cult.
Nevertheless, (Y/N) and Doma’s friendship never changed. They both still laughed and hung out with each other.
Some of the cult followers thought that it was adorable. Some followers even started to bet if Doma will end up with (Y/N) in the future.
As the years went on, Doma started to feel something for (Y/N). Even if he didn’t have a heart (or emotions), he still felt something towards the young girl. The small sparks of love started to turn into flames of passion.
Until one day, Doma brought (Y/N) into the cults garden. It was (Y/N)’s 16th birthday, and Doma had something planned for her.
"Doma, why are we here?" (YN) asked, smiling, as curiosity overwhelmed her.
"Shh, It's a surprise, Now close your eyes." Doma commanded. The young girl did as she was told, and closed her eyes. She felt Doma grabbed her right hand, and slid something into her ring finger.
"You can open now." Doma said happily.
"Doma, what did you -" (Y/N) was immediately stopped when she opened her eyes to see a ring on her finger. She covered her mouth in shock. She looked at Doma, who was smiling at her.
"(Y/N)" Doma said, clasping his hands together with (Y/N)’s. "Ever since the beginning, I felt a connection between us. You are my best friend, my shoulder to lean on, the one person I know i can count on; you’re the love of my life, you're my everything. I promise to hold your hand no matter what happens. So with that said, will you marry me?".
Tears started to stream down (Y/N)’s face. Before Doma could react, she immediately wrapped her arms around his neck. "Of course I’ll marry you!" she exclaimed, smiling.
"In that case…" Doma said, as he lifted (Y/N)’s chin up. "I can do this."
(Y/N) suddenly felt gentle lips touch hers. This wasn’t like the small pecks on the cheek, Doma gave her as a child. This was a full blown kiss, full of love and passion. (Y/N) ended up kissing her beloved back. She had been waiting for this for so long.
Meanwhile, inside the cult. You could hear the members of the cult cheer with happiness. They were all so happy for the new engaged couple. People who won the bet ended up earning a lot of money. (And I mean a lot of money)
"So, when will the wedding be?" (Y/N) asked. Doma smiled at her, and gently cupped her face.
"Whenever you would want it to be, my diligent bride-to-be." he replied. (Y/N) chuckled as she began to think.
"How does next week sound?"
"Lovely" They both started walking back into the cult. When they arrived inside, they were both greeted with cheers. They were both congratulated on the whole marriage thing.
That evening, (Y/N) cooked a whole feast for the cult; to congratulate her engagement.
Ofcourse, the other cult members told her that they should be the one to cook for her, not the other way around. Even so, (Y/N) insisted that she will be the one to cook dinner. I mean, who else could cook as greatly as (Y/N).
A week later, a wedding was hosted inside the Eternal Paradise cult. The members of the cult were either cheering with happiness or crying tears of joy.
(Y/N) wore a beautiful white wedding kimono. Her hair was styled up into a bun. If you saw her, you would think she was an angel from the heavens.
Doma on the other hand, wore a black kimono made out of pure silk.
One of the cult members was a formal Shinto priest. So (Y/N) asked him to be the priest at the wedding, which he happily accepted.
That day, a wonderful moment in history happened. Two souls were bound together that day. Cheers and clapping could be heard all around the cult. As the newly wedded couple walked to the dining room, where a big feast was held.
This time, the members of the cult insisted that they will cook the feast. (Y/N) was a bit shocked with this kind gesture, but she was still grateful either way.
After the big feast, (Y/N) and Doma were walking towards their room. The newly wedded bride couldn’t help but admire the ring that was on her finger. It was one of the most beautiful ring she had ever seen in her life. It was made out of pure gold. Doma’s ring was like (Y/N)’s, but a different shade of gold.
That night, (Y/N) and Doma slept next to each other. Both enjoying each other's presence. Both satisfied with one another.
(Y/N) couldn't wait for what the future holds for both of them. She was ready on whatever would come her way. As long Doma was right beside her, she could defeat anything.
Doma thought the same thing as well. He too was ready with whatever ups and downs he will face. As long as his beloved diligent wife was always beside him.
But no one was prepared on how big and deep the downs are.
