You are not a stereotype . The hand you were dealt means that life comes at you differently compared to others. Don't let that determine your path though, no, you keep going and never take "no" for an answer.
I know at times you feel unappreciated and I know that at times you may feel that all your efforts no matter how small, are for nothing but I see you and I appreciate you. The long hours at work , wondering when the struggle all ends , the sleepless nights wondering how it all began - I see you and I appreciate you.
The pressure from society to uphold dictated standards so you put yourself in debt or increase your blood pressure- unaware of course because ...society and the hand you were dealt. Those lonely nights come your deepest darkest thoughts , endless tears until you can't cry anymore, filling that void in your life with men that won't even come to your rescue in your darkest hour but in your mind you already knew this, "it's okay, I'm living life as it comes" you quietly convince yourself even though you know deep down, that in the end, it's usually wasted love and energy. "Misunderstood" - I see you and I appreciate you.
Those early mornings , late nights , bones worked to the core but yet, the money can never seem to stretch. Not enough food to feed your family so you make do with an "early dinner" for free at work and tell yourself that "it's okay" all the while fighting the tears and masking the pain with a smile. "You're so strong" they say. Not knowing the reality. When does it all end ?
Queen , you are born royalty, regardless of background. God truly took his time with you and you were carefully created. "God gives his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers" - what a cliché right ? But it's true. You go through so much and yet your beauty shines through all the struggle and pain. You are a gift in itself and don't you ever forget it sis. It's easier said than done I know, but you must keep going. You are more than a single mother.
You are creation , beauty , intelligence, strength and honour. Your struggle doesn't go unnoticed. One day, you will look back and see the beauty in your struggle and reflect to yourself. You will say ,"it was worth it" .
Believe in yourself.
Love,
An appreciative human.
