"Mummy mummy!" My 2 darling children ran over to me "can you tell us a story?" i gave them a soft smile and they sat on the bed "it was the year 1574 and a lovely woman named Aurelia was sitting in her room when he father came in "Aurelia you must come down, there is a man i would like you to meet." she followed him down the steep stairs into a well lit up room, it was filled with people laughing and dancing but Aurelia's father thought it would be best if Aurelia weren't to go to the ball as he wanted to choose her suitor himself, she wandered through the people with her father until they were met with a young man. He was tall and had dazzling blue eyes, she thought he was lovely at first and agreed to marry him. He treated her well until one day she waited for him to come home from drinking and when he did she could tell he was drunk, she could smell the liquor on his breath "go fetch me dinner." he shouted at her, but Aurelia wasn't usually one to make food. She had never learnt instead there were maids and chefs to help them around the house "why don't you ask Adelaide?" Edward started to get angry and hit Aurelia across the face leaving a bright red hand mark, tears formed in her eyes and she walked past him out of the room. Over months afterwards Edward began to come home drunk more often and abused and bear beautiful Aurelia "there is a ball tonight and you're going, clean yourself up and hide that bruise." he spat at her, she nodded and put on a stunning blue dress, she walked downstairs when she heard people flooding into the hall. Edward put his hand on her lower back and sent a shiver up her spine, she has fallen out of love with this man who had become a monster. Her eyes went over everyone in the room, beautiful women with their suitors. Aurelia turned back to her husband who was smiling, showing his rotten yellow teeth she put on a fake smile and greeted all her husband's dear friends "Well if it isn't Niklaus and Elijah!" Aurelia had never heard those names before but when she saw the 2 men standing in front of her she felt intimidated, they were towering over her. She locked eyes with one of them, he had long brown hair and matching eyes she became mesmerised by his complexion, he picked up her hand and placed a kiss on it making her body warm. She felt Edwards hand rubbing her lower back which immediately made her feel cold again, she snapped out of her trance and turned to look at the other man, he had long blonde hair and stunning blue eyes, he had a smirk plastered on his pink lips which made Aurelia giggle silently. It soon became north and Aurelia walked back upstairs from the party and stood on her balcony looking out at the garden. She felt a presence behind her which slowly moved to her side, she turned to look at the man who was the same one she has met earlier "i never got your name my lady." he smiled her which made her smile back, his smile was nothing like Edward's he had clean white teeth that reminded her of pearls "it's Aurelia and yours?" He turned away to look out at the view "Elijah, Elijah Mikaelson." Aurelia felt comfort in this man even though she didn't know him she felt something towards him that she had never felt towards anyone before not even Edward. A few months passed by and she hadn't seen Elijah since that night, she had to cope with her horrendous husband and his drinking, but soon a day came when Edward was drunk and hitting Aurelia. She decided to leave the house for a while and go on a walk so she walked through the forest, her long dress trailed behind her as she listened to the sounds of the trees, she tripped on a root and fell cutting her leg. She got back up and carried on walking, she heard footsteps behind her and turned around but nobody was there "who goes there?" she shouted but there was no response, she turned around and saw a tall man standing before her. His face became distorted and he lunged at her, he sunk his sharp teeth into her neck and she screamed out in pain before he was ripped off of her. She opened her eyes and saw Elijah standing there with sorrow in his eyes "thank you." Aurelia's words were shaky, she was trembling in fear. Elijah bit into his wrist and put in up to her mouth, she tried to push it away "it will heal you." she believed him so began to drink, she pulled away despising the metallic taste. She looked at her shoulder which was healed "i don't understand." she looked into his eyes "you don't have to." he smiled at her and put his hand out, she placed hers in his and he guided her down the path towards her house "Elijah." she stopped and he looked back at her "i don't want to go back there." he tilted his head in confusion "he is a monster. he comes home drunk and abuses me." he nodded and guided her back through the forest to a large house "you can live here, if you would like." she smiled and walked inside, she hugged Elijah tightly and he hugged her back "thank you." she pulled away. Many more months passed and Aurelia and Elijah had become close, one day she walked out into the garden and saw him picking a flower. He turned to her and put it in her hair, she blushed and got up on her top toes, she placed a small kiss on his lips and smiled. She has known what Elijah was but she was fine with it, she knew he would never hurt her. One day Elijah had to leave town with his brother "please do not leave me Elijah!" Aurelia called out to him with tears in her eyes, he didn't turn around. He left her all alone, she was only 19 and had to live by herself. She wrote in her diary everyday waiting and longing for the day Elijah would come back for her, until one day he did. She ran into his arms and kissed him passionately. They stayed in that house for a while being happy, Elijah would care for her and heal her if she got hurt but one day her Husband found where she was and killed her, Elijah was heartbroken and mourned her but she had drank his blood the night before. He was crouched over her body crying when she suddenly woke up "where am i?" her throat was burning and she was hungry "you're alive." Hundreds of years passed, Aurelia and Elijah had travelled the world. They went back to their favourite place, Paris where her and Elijah went up the Eiffel tower. They stood looking over the beautiful lit up city, Aurelia turned to look at Elijah who was on one knee. He held a Velvet blue box with a stunning ring in it "yes!" she had tears in her eyes and kissed Elijah passionately. Their wedding came and she put on a long white gown. Niklaus walked her down the aisle to face Elijah "Elijah you are my saviour, my love and my life." They we're both grinning and lived a happy life. It was now 2003 and Elijah and Aurelia were living in a small house together, one day Aurelia felt sick she went to a witch to see what was wrong and found out she was pregnant with twins, they were unsure of how it was possible but the day came when the children were born, one was named Oliver and the other was named Cora." Her two children had drifted off to sleep listening to the story, she turned around to see her husband leaning on the door frame. She walked over to him and wrapped her arms around his torso "i love you Elijah." She looked up into his eyes smiling "i love you Aurelia."
