The next day I had gotten on the bus with Kelly and we were just pulling up to Beck's stop. Kelly's heart might've stopped because she saw Beck, but mine did when I saw Tottie getting on the bus with him. Why on Earth is Tottie getting on the bus with him. I fumed in my head. This was egregious. The mere thought of Tottie coming to school not only made me mad, but paranoid. This wasn't going to end well.
Tottie and Beck sat across the row from us, with Tottie's shell there was now way that the four of us could all sit together in one seat. The three of us could barely do it but even so it was still cramped.
"Why is HE here?!" I hissed.
Beck rolled his eyes as if the answer was obvious. "Because he'd probably kill himself." What he said did make sense, but it didn't stop my rage from boiling out from me. Tottie opened his mouth to speak, but my glare made him rethink. "Let's just all try and get along for today. Tottie will just come with us to our classes. It's no big deal." Beck's futile attempts barely cut through my annoyance, but I conceded. It wasn't worth it to get mad at him. I sighed for what felt like the 400th time that day.
