He's Your Son

chapter four

Brian was with Ormond in the chair. Playing with his toy, making silly faces and watching PBS Kids. Lizzy came in shaking so bad. Brian lays Ormond in his crib. He goes to Lizzy and puts his arms around her.

Brian says," what's wrong." Lizzy said," it's freezing in here. The thermostat won't work." Brian said," here take my jacket."

He puts it around her and hugs her tight to him. Ormond started throwing up. Lizzy goes over and picks him up and gives him a bath. Brian cleans up the puke and washes his blanket and toys.

Lizzy checked Ormond's temp. It was 104 degrees. He have a fever. Brian goes to the store to get him medicine and things.

Lizzy was laying with Ormond in her's and Brian's bed.

Brian came home. He took the medicine in the bedroom and gave him some medicine. Than he got his blanket out of the dryer and wrapped him up in it.

Ormond was shaking and shivering so bad. Lizzy held him close to her.

Later that night, it was midnight. Ormond woke up crying and throwing up again. Brian grabbed his car seat and Lizzy grabbed his blanket and toy. They took him to the hospital.

They take Ormond back but Brian and Lizzy had to be in the waiting room. Lizzy held onto Brian shaking and scared. Brian said," he'll be ok, I promise." Lizzy was crying in his arms.

The doctor came out an hour later. They said," well we have some bad news. Ormond has a super bad cold." Lizzy cry's in Brian's arms. The doctor said," he'll be ok, but he'll be alive for awhile yet. But we also don't know how long he'll live. Bit you can take him home."

Lizzy and Brian goes down to get Ormond. She holds him tight in her arms. Brian drives home. Lizzy asleep and Ormond asleep in the car seat.

They get home. Lizzy carries Ormond in and takes them to their bed and falls asleep with him.

Brian cleans up Ormond's things and cleans up the room. After he heads to the room and falls asleep.
