"One minute," Hill says.
Steve desperately tries to get back up to the Helicarriers to get to the targeting system when Bucky becomes conscious and shoots at Steve in the left thigh and then the right shoulder before I put an ice wall up and hit him with a ball of ice, hitting him in the face, stunning him, but as I do so Steve still manages to climb up "Thirty seconds, Cap!"
"Stand by." Steve tells her as he gets the chip out "Charlie..." Bucky shoots Steve in the stomach and he falls before I can react.
Steve manages to get up and place the chip in the Helicarrier's targeting blade, overriding the system and locking it down.
"Charlie locked," Steve says.
"Okay, Cap, get out of there," Hill says.
"Fire now," Steve tells her.
"But, Steve...you and Vega," Hill says.
"Do it!" Steve orders "Do it now!"
"Listen to him," I say and nod at Steve who is looking at me in surprise, probably surprised I agreed with him on this.
The Helicarriers open fire on each other, Steve and I still inside the Helicarrier, trying to get out. I look and see Steve do the same at Bucky below us as the Helicarrier continues to fall with the three of us inside. I watch in horror as Bucky falls and gets trapped under the falling rubble.
I can stop the scream that tears from my throat "NO!"
