I woke up smiling. Today, my boyfriend, Chad, and I, were going to go see a movie. The biggest movie this summer! He bought us tickets ahead of time so we could definitely get in. I slipped on the necklace he gave me with my name on it; Melissa. I laughed to myself and slipped on my ripped gray skinny jeans, my white short sleeved shirt, and I straightened my hair. My phone went off showing Chad in his football uniform. He was the star quarterback; they won championship of course 80-0. All the coaches wanted him of course! Maybe, he was calling to tell me he got into a good course!

“Hey, babe!” I said into the phone.

“Hey, babe, you’ll never believe it! I’m going to Notre dame!” Chad said.

“I’m so happy for you! Wait, is that in London?” I asked.

“Well, no, I think it’s in the U.S.” I heard rummaging around. “It’s in Indiana.”

I felt my heart sink. “I’m so happy for you! We have to call and write letters, and even Skype!”

“Hey, has Imperial sent back a letter yet? You applied a month ago right?” he asked.

“Yeah, I applied yet no letter. I’m freaking out, babe, what if I don’t make it! I got straight A+’s and even joined a lot of clubs.” I said.

“Well, you were pretty awesome at cheerleading before you broke your ankle horribly. You always cheered me on even when we were freshmen and just starting to date. Wow, four years, almost five.” Chad laughed.

“We’re perfect together. Hey, I got to go, need to be ready for our date tonight, babe bye!” I yelled into the phone laughing.

“Love you! Bye!” he hung up.

I started putting on my make-up and started listening to some music. I looked at the calendar: June 13th 2011. It was almost a five year anniversary of our relationship. We were both 18 and we started dating in July 2006. I finished putting on my make-up and straightening my hair. I ran downstairs and noticed it was already 2:00pm. He would be here in 2 hours. I started back up the stairs to make more touch ups. I started to clean my room up a little, make my bed, vacuum, organize my desk, and even colorize my closet. I was the total nerd when nervous or anxious. I heard the doorbell go off.

I ran down the stairs and found Chad giving my Dad a firm handshake. My Dad loved that kind of stuff; he thinks it shows the perfect man. “Good handshake, Chad.”

“Thank you, sir.” He said towards my father.

            “Hey, Chad.” I smiled.

“Hey, Mel.” That was my nickname to him.
