Harry’s POV
I carried Melissa downstairs and she kept complaining for food. I gave her sunny-side up eggs and she kept moaning complaining for pancakes, French toast, and cereal too. I stared at her and she just did an innocent smile. I made them all for her along with me and we happily ate together while she was busy trying not to laugh.
“I think we should do some movie watching today.” She said smiling.
“Deal.” I said running into the home theatre. “Simon has a big flat screen.” I went up to the TV and saw a sticker on it saying LED 80”.
Melissa ran in with popcorn and we sat down and pressed play. The movie Lovely Bones was in and Melissa watched quietly while I kept trying to understand what this was about.
“What’s going on now?” I whispered.
“She left school to go home.” She said.
5 minutes after that Melissa was in tears sobbing through the rest of the movie. At the end she was just sobbing. “That’s so sad!”
“Comedy time!” I said pressing play and the movie The Hangover.
We were laughing so hard and she kept clutching her sides trying to breathe. “Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God!” she kept repeating.
“I thought you’ve already seen this.” I laughed.
“I have but it’s still hilarious!” she laughed.
The movie ended and we started watching Hangover part II. She laughed even harder bent over falling on the ground laughing.
We left the home theatre and remembered Darcy. We ran to the cardboard box and found her moving around. She slowly picked her up and set her on the counter and started cutting up a carrot for her. The bunny slowly ate the carrot pieces. The rabbit cooed and we felt good about ourselves.
“We are so ready for a baby!” I said.
“Yeah.” She laughed.
I kissed her and she started to deepen the kiss and I thought the men were supposed to do this! I smiled but the bunny bit my hand and I yelped.
“Darcy! No biting!” Melissa said.
Darcy did a weird little growl and hopped off. We went after her and she went into the forest and Melissa felt sad.
