Damien's POV

He grinned as he ended his story and I looked at him interested in his story. We talked for a little longer after that about where and what he did with Grace. It was 11 o'clock when Chul stood up and said goodbye. I stayed and worked on my new addition to my uniform, working the wiring and linking it to my suit. Initially, it was wired to the suit, but after being unhappy with the results I made a plan to make them two separate pieces. This meant I'd have to work the board inside the mask to remotely link to my watch to activate them together. To add another factor I'd have to rewire my watch to add the mask to its activation. By noon I made good progress. It would experience some times during testing where the suit would turn on but the mask wouldn't, other times they would work perfectly. It left me with about a 50% success rate. I wanted to keep working but my stomach wasn't gonna have me sit on this stool for another hour. It roared in starvation and I laughed.

Damien: "Alright maybe it's time to eat." I say standing up and getting my things ready.

I was pushing in the stool as I heard the doors to R&D open to my right. With a quick glance, I saw Aria walk in with the new guy. She was carrying one of her Volumetric Displays. Aria spotted me and greeted me with a smile. I waved slightly and greeted her the same. She asked me how I was doing and I answered positively. The new guy gave me a silent glare while observing my uniform and new addition. I asked Aria if she knew where Tina was. She told me the last she saw her was in the mess hall but they'd left there an hour ago. I thanked her and walked out.

I stopped by the dorm to drop off my suit, placing them on the dresser. I stood by the dresser for a second then turned and walked over to the nightstand, grabbing Marcus' knife and sliding it out of the sheath. I inspected it and tested the sharpness, running my index finger along the blade. My finger is cut slightly by the blade. It stings slowly and the blood slowly seeps from the open wound. Satisfied by the sharpness and the thought of plunging it into Dylan's heart as I take all the pain caused by his betrayal away. The door got a knock that startled me away from my blank stare. I put the blade with my uniform and walked to the door, opening it to find Sebastien. I smile.

Sebastien: "Hey Damien, long time no see." He says happily.

Damien: "What's up Sebastien, how you doing?"

Sebastien: "I'm doing great buddy. How about you?"

Damien: "I'm still alive so there's that." I say with a chuckle. "So what brings you here?"

Sebastien: "I was planning on going hunting out in the woods next week, maybe you'd be interested in coming?"

Damien: "Yeah it sounds great. Just let me know when we're going next week."

Sebastien: "I will, I'm gonna go see who else would like to come along." He says glancing down the hall.

Damien: "Okay I like the plan, I'll see you then."

Sebastien: "Okay, bye Damien." He says turning to walk away.

Damien: "Bye Sebastien." I say shutting the door." And going to grab a snack from the cabinet.

Tina's POV

I was walking around the base with Whiskey after finishing my shooting at the range. I was passing Ela's room when she exited behind me and called me over. I turned around and walked over as she shut the door and leaned against the frame.

Ela: "So I did some asking around the base." She pauses.

Tina: "Yeah? About what?" I ask curiously

Ela: "The fight of course. And it sounds like most operators on base are curious to see the results of that match with mixed predictions of who the winner is." She says before I stop her.
