Third Person POV
Jack pulled the younger child into his arms, cradling them and holding them up as they just held onto him.
"It's okay to not be okay sometimes." Jack whispers in their ear. "It happens with everyone. You can't always be okay, even if you try. No one can."
"I-" A sob escaped their throat, causing them to stop.
Jack frowns, pulling away.
He kisses their forehead. "I promise you. No one is going to be mad. It's okay to not be 'fine' or 'okay' sometimes."
"I-" They forced a sob down their throat. "I don't- want- to- to- to worry a-anyone."
Jack shakes his head. "People worry because they care. It's okay. I promise, and you're going to get through this, but you need to let yourself be reminded that it's okay to need a break sometimes and just cry."
Jack takes their hand. "Can you do that for me, love?"
They nod.
Jack smiles slightly, kissing their hand.
A few more tears slip from their eyes, making their way down their face.
Jack quickly wipes them away with his shirt, before pulling his (chosen) 'sibling' back into a hug.
"I love you." Jack whispers.
They nod. "I love you too, Jacky."
"It's okay to not be okay. I promise."
