I woke up to the faint sounds of water. I could smell everything around me, but my vision was different. I tried to brush the hair, or what I thought was hair, from my eyes... But it didn't move. I looked over to see that I was chained to a bed. But there was something different, something I wasn't expecting... I was a rat, yes, a sewer rat. With a furry belly, long pointy nose, beady eyes, large paws, and even the terrible scent.
A rattle came from te right to me and I saw on old mine in rags with a needle in his hand. In the other was my ripped clothes, back pack, and my cell phone. Dangit, I didn't even think of calling anyone! I thought to my self, giving my face a mental slap. I moved around to show that I was awake. The man looked over and shuffled over to me, "You alright, servant?" his voice crackled.
I hesitated but decided that I should show respect. I mean, this guy can turn to me back, right?, "I would like to get out." I looked him in the eye.
He chuckled, "I know what you want to do, you want to get out. Try to leave the sewers. The only way you can get out is if you know how to fly." he laughed again, "But if you do see the sunlight, the effects ware off... However, I'm sure you expect to never see it again." he threw eveything ont he ground, "Ted, go get her something to eat!" he called.
I heard the scurrying of paws coming at least 20 yards away. I heaved a sigh, "Will you let me out now?" I muttered.
"I suppose," the little man scrambled over and released me from the metal chains.
"Thanks," I said softly rubbing my brand new paws on my already-chain-bruised writsts.
He mumbled something while soarting through a soggy cardboard box, "Here ya go," he threw a red scarf around my neck and put a black phadora on my head, "Now, we can tell you apart from the others." he smiled at me, but the only thing is, he doesn't have any teeth.
I itched the back of my ears, "So, uh, what do you want me to do?"
"Just wait around, I will call for you when I need you." the man stumbled off.
"What's your name?" I yelled.
"Charlie," he said in a muffeled voice.
For awhile I just went off on my own to find out what really was around this place. I came across some bats that could actually talk to me. Which spirted an idea into my head, What if I were to fly off on one of these? Of course it's crazy, but it's worth a try.
After dinner, which consisted of old beans and some rough meat. I layed down on the small rag that was set up for me and decided that I would make friends with a bat and talk them into getting me out of here. Once I convinced them, I would fly off and find where I fell. I didn't think of anymore plans because sleep over threw me.
