Valentine's Day

"Wake up!!" A very familiar voice echoes throughout your bedroom. You let out an annoyed groan and try to cover your face with your comforter, but the shouting continues, "Babe, wake up! I have a surprise for you!"

"...Fine, I'll get up," You say in a quiet voice, letting out a yawn afterward. You rub your eyes and tiredly sit up in bed, still half-asleep, "What's the surprise?"

Leorio sets a tray down in front of you with assorted breakfast foods spread out on it. A singular rose sits in a vase on the side of the tray, paired with a small candle, "Surprise! I made you a special Valentine's day breakfast in bed!"

You're wide awake now, studying the tray of assorted foods in awe. You're speechless for a few moments before you look up at him with a soft smile on your face, "Leorio, this is so sweet. Thank you so much, and happy Valentine's day, my love."

"Happy Valentine's day!" He kneels down to give you a side hug and presses a kiss to your cheek. He looks at you with puppy-dog eyes, asking you excitedly, "Did I surprise you??"

"Definitely. I wasn't expecting this at all, although, I really should have since I have such an amazing fiance," You say, flashing him a wink.

He lets out a chuckle and rubs the back of his neck with a sheepish grin on his face, "You really know how to flatter a guy."

"You deserve all of the flattery in the world."

He becomes even more flustered by your kind words, his cheeks with an obvious blush on them. He clears his throat, trying to calm himself down, and points at the food in front of you, "Try it, babe! I want to know if it's any good!"

"Anything you make will be delicious, Leorio," You offer him a reassuring smile, before picking up your fork and taking a bite of the scrambled eggs on your plate. After one bite, you try your hardest not to gag, offering Leorio a thumbs-up, "It's- It's so good!"

He furrows his brow at your reaction, a noticeable sad glint in his eyes, "Did I mess up? I'm not very good at cooking, but I really tried."

"No, no, you didn't mess up at all," You console him, offering him a small smile, "It's good! It's just... Unique!"

"That's what you said the last time I cooked for you," He points out, but when he sees the adorable look on your face, he lets it go, "I'm sorry, babe. You don't have to eat it. We can go out for breakfast."

You scoop up another fork-full of scrambled eggs and take a bite, the taste becoming a tad more bearable. After swallowing it, you shake your head at him, "No, I love it. I love it because you made it."

"You're too nice to me, (Y/N)," He starts, watching you with a completely lovestruck look on his face, "That's only the first of your Valentine's day surprises!"

You continue eating your breakfast at a slow pace, swallowing a bite, before looking at him in surprise, "Really? You didn't have to do all that for me, you know?"

"Yes, I did! I want to make Valentine's day special for you," He exclaims with a huge grin on his face, "I'll show you more of your surprises after you finish eating."

"I can't wait," With that being said, you finish your meal and quickly gulp down your glass of orange juice.

You get dressed after you finish your breakfast, and Leorio opens up the bedroom door, revealing a trail of rose petals leading to the living room. When you approach the living room, the first thing that catches your attention is the six-foot-tall teddy bear sitting on the couch. On the coffee table, you see a large bouquet of roses, sitting adjacent to a heart-shaped box of chocolates. Rose petals and heart-shaped decorations litter the room, much to your surprise.
