1994 Seventh Period

Brittany still couldn't believe what happened at first period. 'The cafeteria', She thought. 'On fire!' She shakes the thought out of her head and focuses on the last class of the day until she has to go to detention. She dusts that off her shoulders and walks into the auditorium.
Reggie and the rest of the guys are at the back and Savannah is walking up towards her. "So," Savannah starts to say. "What happened?"
Brittany pulls her to the side and says,"Bobby told me that he likes me." Her friend's eyes widened. "That's what my reaction was too! And then I told Reggie and he punched the shit out of Bobby. And then-"
"Wait! Reggie did that?" Brittany nods. "I thought that guy from this morning did that to him."
"Oh yeah. That was him too. It was both him and Reggie. Anyways, when Reggie was beating the shit out of Bobby, I tried to stop them and…"
"And what?" Brittany lifts the hair off her cheek and shows Savannah. "Damn. Who did that?"
"Bobby did, but I think it was an accident."
"He got you good." Brittany looks over at the guys and sees Bobby staring at them.
"What the hell are you looking at Bobby?" She says to him. The entire class turns in their direction.
"Nothing," he replies. "I am just wondering if you are okay?"
"I'm fine. No thanks to you." She walks over to him. "You did this to me. I don't think I can trust you or look you in the eye anymore Bobby. That's how bad you messed up." She starts crying. "I don't even know if we can be friends anymore because of what you did."
"I accidentally hit you," Bobby says. "Why is that so bad?"
"It's bad because you are a person who I thought would never hurt me! You are now so different to me now. And it's not just because you hit me. It's also because you told me that you like me when you know I am dating Reggie!" The bell rings and she walks off to go sit with Savannah and Reggie.
"Alright class!" Mrs. Baidmen says. "Sit down please. This news is important."
"I'm sorry," Brittany whispers to Savannah. "I honestly always forget that he is your brother."
"Step brother!" Savannah corrects. "Anyways, it's fine. I don't mind because I get into fights with him all the time."
"Right. I am just mad that I have detention after school today."
"Why? What did you do?"
"Absolutely nothing! It was all Bobby. He punched me and our principal just assumed that it was all three of us. Which it wasn't."
"Is there something you two ladies would like to share with the class?" They hear a voice ask.
"Oh, no Mrs. Baidmen. It's all good."
"Then please let me teach my class."
"Yes ma'am."
"The announcement that I was going to make is what we will be doing for the school play this quarter."
'Please let it be something cool and exciting!' Brittany's mind thought.
"It's going to be Grease! Auditions are going to be tomorrow at lunch and after school. Also during our class period. People who are late will not get to audition for the play. So, be on time if you want to be in play."
Mrs. Baidmen walks off to go find her binder for taking the roll. As she walks off the stage, Brittany starts going through every single one of her thoughts that are scattering around her brain. 'I've always wanted to play Sandy! This is literally a dream come true! Also it hasn't because Bobby has actually always wanted to play Danny, which is going to suck if he gets the part. In the beginning, Sandy and Danny kiss and I can't do that. I don't like him like that. Or anymore.' Brittany feels someone shaking her arm.
"What?" She asks the person.
"Mrs. Baidmen has called your name five times already," Savannah tells her. "She's here Mrs. Baidmen. She just wasn't paying attention."
"Yeah. Sorry for that."
"It's okay," Mrs. Baidmen responds. "Just make sure it never happens again."
"Will do." She goes back to going through all of her thoughts. 'I'm just gonna try and get through the rest of today without talking to him. That's what I'm gonna do.' And out of nowhere, she sees her teacher fall down. "Mrs. Baidmen!" She gets out of her seat and rushes towards her. "Will someone please tell the principal to call the cops!" She sees a student run out of the classroom as fast as possible.
"Start CPR!" Someone says from behind her. Brittany nods and lofts back her teacher's chin to see if she is breathing. Then she places the palm of her right hand in the middle of Mrs. Baidmen's chest and puts her left hand on top. Next thing she knows, she sees Mrs. Baidmen come up gasping for air.
"What happened?" She asks her students.
"Brittany just saved your life Mrs. Baidmen," Reggie points out.
"Thank you so much." Just then, the paramedics come barging into the auditorium.
"Move out of our way please," one of them tells the students. There are three of them. They all head to the stage where the teacher was. "I thought you said she was unconscious."
"She was," Brittany tells the paramedic. "I did CPR on her, if that was the right thing to do."
"It was. Now please move so we can do the rest of our job." Brittany gets off the stage and buries herself in Reggie's arms. He wraps his arms around her and rubs her back.
The principal walks up to the two of them and says, "I know this is bad timing, but you aren't going to need to show up to detention today. All three of you. It's been moved to tomorrow."
"Okay," Reggie says. "Thank you for letting us know."
"You're welcome. And I have called all your parents to let them know that your class is over for the day. Grab your stuff and head home. I'll see you all tomorrow." Every single student leaves, except for Brittany, her bandmates, and Savannah. "You can all leave."
"I want to stay," Brittany says. "I want to make sure Mrs. Baidmen is okay."
"I'm fine Brittany," Mrs. Baidmen says. "Go to the office. I'll be fine." Brittany nods and she walks away from the stage towards the seat she was sitting in. She goes to grab her bag, but it isn't there.
"Who took my bag?" She asks her friends.
"Here," Reggie exclaims. "I got it from Savannah."
"Thanks." The six of them walk out of the auditorium and towards the office. The entire walk, it's completely silent. They don't speak a word to each other, whatsoever.

I know this chapter is really short and I apologise.I just hope that you all enjoy and love my story. And now for an announcement. After I am done with this story, I'm going to make another one, that has all the same characters and goes along the plot of JATP. 😁 It's going to be the second "book" of this series.
