Cybertron: An Optimus Prime Love Story

[Location: Darkmount Kaon]

Megatron: "Decepticon forces! It is time for revenge! Optimus Prime will face his worst nightmare today!!! Every single Autobot will suffer. Starscream, you will lead the air strikes. Soundwave will hack into the Autobots system mainframes and disable their shields!! We must claim Iacon today!!"

Starscream: "As you wish Lord Megatron!"

Soundwave: "Soundwave acknowledges..."

[Meanwhile]

[Iacon City HQ]

Optimus Prime: "Luna, you have no other way than to join us. Do you want to lead a life like an animal?"

Luna: "Optimus Prime, I respect your offer, but my allegiance is towards the Decepticons. I can't betray Megatron!"

Optimus Prime: "You fear him? That treacherous warlord?!"

Luna: "He will kill me! I can't join you!"

Luna's POV

I wanted to join Optimus and the other Autobots, the hospitality and treatment I received from them is beyond appreciation. I was in their debts. Besides I don't know if it was my thoughts, but I felt a strong attraction towards Optimus. I started to feel safe around him and the more I stayed with him the more I wanted to be around his reach.

Optimus Prime: "I respect your decision. I don't want to force you in staying with us."

That word from Optimus really shook my spark, and I noticed that Optimus was a bit sad too. Maybe he was growing feelings for me too? Or was it all in my fantasy? I finally decided to change my mind.

Luna: "No wait....I am not leaving."

Bumblebee: "That's what I am talkin about!"

Luna: "I will join the Autobots."

Optimus Prime's POV

I felt like a mountain drop off my shoulders. I was the most happy of everyone that day. At least I could convince Luna in changing sides with us. Besides I started growing up feelings for her as well. Maybe she did too!? I don't know but I felt like it.

Jetfire: "Jetfire to Iacon HQ! Come in!!"

Luna: "What is it Jetfire?"

Jetfire: "Errr...The Decepticon forces are on their way to Iacon. It's a massive army. And this time the boss is coming along with them."

Luna: "Scrap. Megatron knows I am here."

Optimus Prime: "Ratchet activate the shields and warn every sectors of the city to prepare forces."

Ratchet: "Right away Optimus."

Ironhide: "Autobots! Guard the perimeters! Let's move out!"

[Every sectors of the city were warned by the HQ as they began preparing troops for a massive battle that was about to happen. Ironhide, Cliffjumper, Jazz, Hound, Crosshairs and a few other tough Autobots began providing cover for the rest of them inside the HQ.]

Luna: "And where will you go Optimus?"

Optimus Prime: "I have found a source of mass destruction towards the edge of the city. Stay here until I return. Autobots! Engage the enemy with whatever we have!"

Luna's POV

I sensed something catastrophic was going to happen. I didn't want to leave Optimus alone but not everytime you can help out. So I had to stay behind and assist the Autobots.

Optimus Prime: "Promise me you will remain safe Luna!"

[Optimus kissed Luna on her lips passionately, embracing her tightly in his arms.]

Luna: "I promise...you should leave now."

I was both surprised and ashamed of myself, but I returned the kiss to him as passionately as he did, and rubbed his faceplate in assurance, as I saw him leave through the back of the HQ.

[5 hours later]

Ratchet: (on comms) "Optimus where are you?"

Optimus Prime: "what is the situation Ratchet?"

Ratchet: "I can't tell you how this happened, but the Decepticons have broken through the city defense systems. Looks like it was hacked!"

Optimus Prime: "Soundwave!!!!"

[Optimus drove through the tunnels below the city, hidden from outside world as he reached the outskirts of Iacon, leading to a massive sub-city, heavily equiped with artilleries. He slowly walked inside, getting detached from the city's radars]
