The Enemy Fails

[2 days later]

[Planet Cybertron]

[Location: Battlefield]

[Luna constantly provided the Autobots with inside information from the Decepticons, keeping them updated and making it easier for them to plan battle strategies.]

[Intense fighting]

Optimus Prime: "Metroplex! You must destroy the Decepticon Warp Cannons on the outskirts of Iacon!"

Metroplex: "Consider it done!!"

Optimus Prime: "I will try to get closer to lock on the target. Autobots attack!!"

Ironhide: "Open fire!!"

[Metroplex started heading towards the outskirts of Iacon with massive steps, crushing the Decepticon forces under his feet like bugs. The Autobots engaged with the Decepticons while Optimus drove towards the Warp Cannons.]

Ratchet: "Optimus, we must hurry. The Warp Cannons are tearing the shields apart!!"

Optimus Prime: "I am trying. Hold on my friend."

[ While Optimus locked on to the target to the Warp Cannons, Grimlock and his Dinobots tried to figure out how to activate the Spacebridge towards the edge of the Sea of Rust.]

Optimus Prime: "Metroplex I have locked on to the first Warp Cannon. Fire on the target coordinates now!"

Metroplex: "Target systems initiating! Target synchronization complete!!"

[Massive missiles came charging towards the Warp Cannon, shattering it to fragments and lighting up to sky.]

Shockwave: "Impossible!"

Starscream: "This is pointless! We have to think about something more powerful!"

Megatron: "Shut up Starscream!!"

Optimus Prime's POV

I saw the first Warp Cannon blow to bits, as I huffed in relief, a faint light of hope finally started to form. Two more Warp Cannons to go and then we gain the upper hand today. Thanks to my love Luna, this has been possible. I started driving towards the second Cannon when I heard a familiar voice calling out my name. Is it Luna?

Luna: "Optimus!!"

I immediately turned my attention towards her as I saw a sword piercing straight through her stomach, making her go down to the ground in moments. I couldn't bear the sight of that. It automatically made me go down on my knees.

Optimus Prime: "Luna!!!!"

Cliffjumper: "Optimus?! What hap... Oh my!!!"

[In the meantime Metroplex and the other Autobots had managed to destroy most of the Decepticon forces. But two Warp Cannons were still active and constantly firing on the Autobot cities.]

I immediately rushed towards Luna, as Metroplex helped me with a shortcut bridge and I could easily reach her. Cliffjumper and Jazz also followed me. I fell on my knees as I lifted her up in my arms.

Optimus Prime: "Luna...please don't leave me..."

Luna: "O...Optimus..."

Before she could reply I saw her go unconscious, and she was leaking from the wounds.

Jazz: (on comms) "Ratchet we have a situation here. Luna is down."

Ratchet: "Hold on I'm sending for a groundbridge. Bring her in quickly."

I lifted her up, standing on my feet as I saw a groundbridge portal pop up in front of us. I didn't lose time any further, running straight for the portal and to the HQ.

Ratchet: "By Primus! Get to the sickbay immediately."
