Optimus Prime's POV

Cybertron, our home. For generations, it has been a peaceful world. Until pride and a lust for power divided us. Now we fight - enemies who were once our brothers. Our tragic war has ravaged Cybertron. Countless lives has been lost. The ones we hold dear, left behind. But we Autobots will never sacrifice freedom. Our defeat would mean the end of everything. We will fight on, even if the battle ground has shifted we will never give up. The Ark has left Cybertron a day ago, with Autobots in hope of finding a new life among the stars. Whatever lies beyond the spacebridge is our final hope.

Ironhide: "Optimus, I think we left the Decepticons behind."

Optimus Prime: "I wish you are right Ironhide."

Perceptor: "The Ark survived the vortex of the spacebridge."

Bumblebee: "But Optimus, if the Decepticons are still on Cybertron, will Luna and the other Autobots be able to defeat them?"

Optimus Prime: "We have no choice Bumblebee. The war is lost. Leaving our home is the hardest decision I've ever made."

I could see everyone's mood go down after my remark. I was sad too.

Ratchet: "Don't worry Bumblebee. We'll find out a way to survive."

Optimus Prime: "Whatever lies ahead of us, is our best and last hope my friends."

Perceptor: "Absolutely."

Teletraan 1: "The Ark has crossed the Alpha Centaurai star system."

Jazz: "So we left Cybertron completely?"

Teletraan 1: "Affirmative crew member Jazz....approximately 12 astrocycles ago..."

Hound: "Where are we headed for?"

Optimus Prime: "Teletraan 1 please confirm us of The Ark's present location."

Arcee: "I'm so excited."

Jazz: "Why?"

Arcee: "I've never witnessed space!!"

Teletraan 1: "Teletraan 1 acknowledges, Captain Optimus Prime The Ark is currently passing through an uncharted sector of the universe."

Optimus Prime: "I see. What is the nearest star system from our location?"

Teletraan 1: "According to the map created by the ancients, the nearest star system is the Milky Way Galaxy, a few hundred light years away from our current location."

Cliffjumper: "What the hell!!!"

Optimus Prime: "Is there any planet suitable for inhabitation in the Milky Way Galaxy?"

Teletraan 1: "Affirmative. A planet much smaller than Cybertron but large enough to support life is located in the Galaxy, named Earth. It is a planet rich in vast energon resources and home to 7.8 billion indigenous lifeforms, known as humans."

Optimus Prime: "What is the estimated time to reach planet Earth?"

Ratchet: "Optimus is it good to travel to such a planet full of life?"

Optimus Prime: "There is no other planet that can sustain our population, not without energon."

Teletraan 1: "estimated time to reach Earth is approximately a few gigacycles or more, less if dark matter interstellars are at full power....."

Optimus Prime: "Teletraan 1 set a direct course for planet Earth and activate dark matter drives at maximum capacity."

Teletraan 1: "Course set...Dark matter drives activated..."

Wheeljack: "So we're going to a new planet?"

Optimus Prime: "Affirmative Wheeljack!"

Drift: "I just hope that humans are better than Decepticons."

Prowl: "Optimus, what are we going to do after reaching this Earth?"

Arcee: "Lead a peaceful life until Decepticons attack."

Optimus Prime: "We will establish a base of operation, and befriend the native lifeforms of the planet."

Jazz: "Just hoping everything goes right."

Optimus Prime: "Autobots, it's been a tiring day for all of us. Get to your recharge stations and have some rest while I supervise the situation here."

Bumblebee: "Perhaps you should have some rest Optimus."

Arcee: "Bee is right..."

Optimus Prime: "Very well then."

Optimus Prime's POV

I nodded at them and went towards my quarters, but I knew it was hard for me to sleep without Luna, remaining far away from her is not what I had thought. But circumstances force us to do what we never intend to. And I was one of it's victims. I could hear chattering of my friends in the main deck. Metroplex' death and thoughts of Luna still haunted my mind while I forced myself inside a hypersleep chamber.

[The next day]

I woke up at usual time as I walked out of my quarters for the command deck to see few Autobots already working on the controls.

Teletraan 1: "Greetings Captain Optimus Prime."

Optimus Prime: "Greetings Autobots."

Ratchet: "Optimus how did you sleep?"

Optimus Prime: "Pretty good. Where are the others?"

Perceptor: "Still sleeping I guess."

Optimus Prime: "How far have we travelled?"

Teletraan 1: "We have travelled a distance of three years in only one day."

Optimus Prime: "Impressive."

Teletraan 1: "We will reach Earth in nearly one month as per our present reserve of Energon."

Jazz: "That's excellent!"

Perceptor: "Optimus...a transmission from Cybertron!"

Optimus Prime: "What is it Perceptor?"

The transmission reads:

This is Commander Ultra Magnus of the Autobot resistance. If anyone receives my message, Iacon is going to fall anytime. Several Autobots have escaped from Cybertron a few months after the Ark launched.

[The Nemesis]

Megatron: "Cybertron will not survive. Neither will the Autobots."

Soundwave: "Lord Megatron, we have found a planet that is rich in energon and suitable for inhabitation....Earth....but it's densely populated with indigenous native lifeforms...."

Megatron: "We can't lose this opportunity! Soundwave set a course for Earth!"

Soundwave: "As you wish Lord Megatron...."
