Sleeping Fiasco

Your POV:

I woke up at two in the morning to the sound of crying. It has been about a week since we got here and this is the third time I have been woken up by the sound of crying.Not being able to go back to sleep, I got up and put on my boots and headed towards the crying. After walking a little farther, the crying seemed to get closer and louder. Finally I stood in front of a door and creaked it open to see the caretakers trying to calm a crying baby Sidon.

"My prince please stop crying."

The caretaker said wiping off the tears that came down his chubby cheeks. I walked in quietly and got there attention.

"I'll take it from here, you should get some rest." I said calmly.

The caretaker was a little hesitant but eventually gave Sidon too me and left the room to sleep right after she said thank you. I looked down at the crying Zora in my arms.

"Shh shhhh Sidon it's ok i'm here. There is no need to cry your sister would be in alot of despair if she saw you like this." I said calming Sidon and wiping his tears.

The little zora looked up into my eyes and stopped crying only sniffling here and there. Mipha has warned us that Sidon will wake up randomly at night just crying non-stop, for no reason, he has managed to wake up the whole domain four times. I spread my wings and started to fly in circles but going backwards so he could lay on my chest. I sang a small tune to calm him down.

The little zora started to calm down and relax to the song. Sidon started to cuddle into my arms and looked up at my eyes. I used my hand to caress his cheek smiling kindly. I continued with the tune and sooner or later he fell asleep on my chest.

I slowly stopped flying and landed back on the ground to place him back in his crib. However, as soon as I was about to place him down he began to slightly whine. I picked him back up and he stopped whining again. I tried putting him down and he started back up again. This went on a few times and I myself was getting tired as well.

I have finally put him down without him waking up and silently went to the door to leave. Once I opened the door I heard Sidon whining so, I looked back and saw him standing in his crib wide awake ready to cry. Sighing I closed the door and walked back over to him.

"Sidon~ sweetie you need to sleep."

I said looking him, chuckling tiredly. He didn't seem like he was going to give up and reached out with his little arms for me.

"I have a better idea, hopefully I don't get in trouble for doing this but I am tired and you need to sleep so...."

I took off my boots and lifted my self with my wings and climbed into the crib. Luckily the crib was big enough for me to fit inside. I laid down and Sidon with a smile on his face came down snuggling down onto my chest.

I used a small enlarging spell for the blanket so we'd both be covered. Instantly Sidon fell asleep cuddled next to me, as my hand was on his back holding him, and my other hand under the pillow to rest my head.

I looked outside the crib thinking I could get in trouble for this however looking down and seeing the little zora sleep soundly, I realized that I didn't mind getting a small lecture in the morning. I kissed his little head crest and I finally fell asleep with Sidon in my arms.

Zeldas POV:

I had woken up early since today King Dorephan wanted to discuss further ideas for routes and trades, between our kingdoms. Getting out of my bed I went to go change and get myself ready for the day. I went to wake up Link and Y/n, however when I went to wake up Y/n she wasn't in her room. I saw Mipha down the hall and called out to her.

"Goodmorning Mipha! How did you sleep? Also have you've seen Y/n, it seems as though she wasn't in her room this morning." I asked looking at Mipha.

"Goodmorning princess, and I slept well thank you and no i'm sorry I haven't seen her." She told me.

"Im sure she is around here somewhere, until then would you like to join me too Sidon's room I must wake him up for his breakfast." She asked looking at me.

"I'd love too join you maybe we will see her on the way. Link went to go eat breakfast with the guards so he'll join us soon." I said walking with Mipha.

We had made it to Sidons room and Mipha opened the door gently as too not spook the prince. As we walked in we noticed that there was a big lump inside the prince's crib. Mipha and I moved closer and finally noticed what....or more who was inside his bed.

Mipha and I looked at eachother confused as too why Y/n was inside the crib with Sidon in her arms sleeping soundly. Mipha looked at them one last time and had smiled happily and giggled.

I moved closer to Y/n.

"Y/n hey you need to wake up hey hey."

I tried waking her up without waking up the prince. Mipha went to the other side and gently woke up Sidon. The little zora prince did wake up first while Y/n was still asleep unconsciously holding him closer to protect him.

Sidon got up and looked at Mipha and Zelda, he then looked down and gently hit Y/n face to wake her up. Eventually I saw Y/n wake and stretch he back and f/c wings.

"Um Y/n might I ask why you were sleeping in my brothers bed." Mipha asked curiously but had a smirk.

"Yes I would aslo like to know afterall you weren't in your chambers, what happened?" I asked questionly.

"Oh dear Hylia, last night Sidon couldn't sleep so I came to see what all the fuss was about I took over for the caretakers so they could sleep. I carried Sidon and flew around for a bit too make him sleep. He then fell asleep and I tried putting him down but he whined everytime I did. Finally I thought he fell asleep and as I was about to leave I turn to see him standing in his crib ready too throw a tantrum. Eventually I gave up and climbed in with him thats when he finally slept and I knocked out with him." I said embarrassed.

"I'm surprised you managed to get him to stop crying like that." Mipha said amazed. "It usually takes the whole night for him to sleep."

"Well either way we should all get to breakfast now before Link eats it all." I giggled.

3rd Pov:

Once Y/n was dressed she headed to the dinning area to eat breakfast with everyone. They all began to eat and talk about different topics, Sidon did throw some food at Link. He was not amused in the slightest but the rest of us were laughing.

Through out the day it became pretty simple, the princess and Mipha went to there morning meetings to speak of a few things. Link went to train with the other Zora guards and Y/n went to help the healers with any injuries that occured during the day.

At the end of the day everyone got ready for bed and fell asleep except for one little zora. Mipha didn't want Sidon to cry again through out the night so she asked Y/n to sleep in the crib with him once more for the night. She agreed too it with alittle hesitation but didn't mind it in the end with the zora soundly sleeping with her.
