"Tam Dai Song!", Linh shouted, "WHY IS MY HAIR BLUE?!?". Tam had taken a page out of Keefe's book and pranked his sister, switching her regular shampoo with one that had blue hair dye. "Chill Linh, it's looks good on you!", Tam sighed. He wasn't lying, it did look good, but his plan failed. Only her silver tips were dyed, so his dare was incomplete. This whole thing was actually a set up to get Linh angry, shockingly set up by Dex. "Sorry sis, I gotta get going, I'm meeting Wylie for training," this time he did lie, he was actually meeting Sophie, trying to get a plan on how to ask out Biana. Since Sophie was his best friend, not that he'd ever admit that, he felt it was best to go to her.
"Ugh, Keefe didn't you just lea- Tam? Oh," Grady said, obviously surprised as he opened the door to reveal the teenage Shade. "Yes sir, is Soph h- I meaaaaaan, (ahem) is Sophie here?", Tam asked, scolding himself for the slip. He always called her Soph when they were alone or with just Linh, he never called her by the nickname around anyone else. "Uh- yeah, she's in her room....", Grady trailed off, confused by Tam's odd behavior. "Thank you Lord Ruewen," Tam said as he entered the house. He ran up the stairs, knocked on Sophie's door, and let a few shadows slip in to alert her that it was him. She opened the door, not surprised, but confused.
"Hey Tam, how's it going?", Sophie asked as she stepped back to let him in. "Terrible," he groaned, flopping on her bed, "I have no clue how to ask out the girl I've liked for over a year, that's literally how long I've known her Soph!". "Yeahhhhhh, that sucks man, do you have any specific ideas?", Sophie asked. "Hmmm, I do, but I'll need you and Linh to help," Tam said, perking up, "grab Linh, tell her to meet me at Everglen, by the lake, you, can you get me some of those Fairy-light-whatever-thingys?". Sophie nodded and walked off, Tam following.
Biana:
Biana was literally just vibing, she had nothing to do. Literally nothing except pine over a certain Shade with silver bangs, that is. She was gonna go do that while all her friends did whatever. Sophie and Keefe would obviously be off somewhere, making out. That's all they were caught doing now, making out and cuddling. Dex would be with Fitz, cuddling or making out. Linh would be with Marella, CUDDLING OR MAKING OUT. Biana felt all kinds of single.
Tam:
Tam tried to be discreet as he arrived at the pristine estate of the Vacker's.
But.... He failed.
Horribly.
"Tam?", Fitz called. Tam swore profusely under his breath in Ogreish (idk how to spell it lol), Ro and Bo would be proud. "Heyyyyyyyyyy Fitz, how's it going?". "Uhm- fine? Do you... want to come in, or-? I'm sorry, this is weird, we've never talked apart from the group," Fitz said sheepishly, then suddenly straightened up. "What? What happened?", Tam asked. "I- Sophie just transmitted....", Fitz trailed off. Tam shrugged and went back to what he was doing.
Tam, Sophie, and Linh met by the lake, where Sophie led then to where he wanted to go. A beautiful white gazebo next to the lake, it was made of wood, and was very old, but it was incredible. Sophie began to help him string up the fairy lights and had brought her iPod and a stereo that Dex had acquired in a way that everyone was far too scared to ask about. She set the song to her ballad playlist of instrumental songs, and a song came on, which, Tam had no clue what the lyrics were, but it seemed to be absolutely beautiful. Linh was making water sculptures and different things that reflected the light of both the moon that was beginning to show, and the fairy lights he and Sophie had hung. He just hoped Biana would like it.
"I'm gonna transmit to Bi to come help me at the gazebo now, okay?", Soph asked as Tam bent down so she could get off his shoulders from where they'd been stringing the lights, as they were far too high for either of them to reach on their own. "Yeah, Linh, is there any way you could leave but these still stay intact?", Tam asked. "Yes, I'll just need to stay hydrated and stay on the property," Linh said with a sharp nod. "Okay, go call up Marella and ask her to meet here because I know she'll make sure you don't push yourself, and go ask Fitz if you can stay here for awhile, cool?", Tam asked, receiving another nod from his twin. Sophie and Linh walked off and Tam restarted the song and pushed pause. He really wanted this to go well. He even wore something other than black! He was wearing a black undershirt, grey jerkin, and black slacks. It technically wasn't all black!
"Sophie, are you okay?!? Wha-", Biana gasped and her jaw dropped. Tam chuckled a bit and blushed at the thought of Biana seeing his smile. The truth was, Tam loved to smile, but he'd been self conscious about his smile ever since he was 7 years old, when his father made fun of him telling him he "shouldn't smile because it was too crooked and made his face look odd". He knew he shouldn't let his father get to him, but it was just so hard, even when his mother assured him later that his smile was fine. Biana was still standing there, staring. "Tam- IS THAT GREY?!?", she suddenly shouted. "Yeeeeeeesss?", Tam drawled out lamely, obviously nervous, "Biana look, I know you're a Vacker and I'm just some random Shade that was once banished, and you're insanely out of my league, but the moment I laid eyes on you, I knew you were worth getting to know. The way you just radiated a spark, I knew you were fierce, you had a fire no one could ever tame. Then, I got to know you, and I just proved myself right. You have more fight in you than I ever could, you're incredible, gorgeous, brave, and a million other things that I could go on for hours listing off. I know I don't usually talk so much, so this might be a bit odd and I'll stop there at the risk of saying something foolish. Will you be my girlfriend?", Tam asked, stepping cautiously closer. "Tam Song!", Biana shouted and smacked his arm as he winced, ready for the rejection of a lifetime, "don't you ever say that I'm "out of your league" or anything like that ever again! You're brilliant! You're an amazing Shade and you're so powerful and intense, it's a little bit scary, you just ooze confidence, and that's coming from me," Biana chuckled, "of course I'll be your girlfriend! I've wanted noting more for over a year than to hear you say that, and to hear it in such a breathtaking place? Truly amazing," she breathed out. Tam just stared, gaped actually, at the fact that Biana Vacker, the girl he'd grown to be so fond of it wasn't even funny, had just called him brilliant. He felt as though he was floating, but he quickly regained his aura of confidence.
"Well then, may I have this dance darling?", Tam asked, going to turn on the song. "You may," his gorgeous girlfriend giggled (lol alliteration y'all). He stepped forward and pulled her in close, one hand on her waist, the other grasping her dainty hand. She'd placed one hand on his broad shoulders and her other was in his calloused hand, much larger than her own fragile one.
Biana and Tam danced the night away until neither of them could possibly stand any longer.
"Biana?", Tam asked as they sat, hand in hand, so close Tam swore he felt her warm breath on his pale cheek, he was slouching so their mouths were around the same height. "Hmm?", Biana hummed questioningly. "May I kiss you?", Tam asked as he felt especially bold. Biana tensed up so he immediately said, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to overste-", the teen Shade was cut off by Biana's lips meeting his. Their lips brushed softly as Biana didn't want to overdo it. Tam however, had a more rough personality than Biana and it definitely showed as he deepened their kiss. Biana's lips, like her hands, were soft and smooth, and Tam's, like his hands, were rough and just a bit chapped, not that Biana minded. Once he pulled away reluctantly as he didn't excel at breath control, he eyed her to make sure he hadn't pushed any boundaries, "Was that okay darling?", Tam asked, concerned he might've done something wrong as he'd never had a girlfriend, let alone kissed a girl. "Better than okay, that was perfect," Biana sighed contently and leaned into him, burning her small head at the spot where his neck and shoulders met, snuggling in cozily. Tam tensed at first, not used to having such affection shown to him by anyone other than his sister, but immediately sank into her gentle touch. He wanted to stay with her like this forever.
