Tanjiro was currently figuring out how to get nezuko out of the sun and noticed a farm with bamboo so he walked up to the farm and up to the current owner "hello can I please buy that basket and some bamboo" the farmer shook his head "I'll give it to you it has holes anyways" as tanjiro shook his head also "please let me pay for it I have enough money" the farmer shook his head "no I won't accept payment for it" as tanjiro yelled "PLEASE TAKE MY MONEY." At the end of the talk he finally got it still didn't pay for it as the farmer nor his wife took his money. Tanjiro came up to the hole he put Nezuko in to box protecting her from the sunlight.
"nezuko" he called out already using the bamboo to fix the basket and made it bigger "here you go nez-u-ku" he finished saying slowly as nezuko was in a hole she dug 'oh she must really not like the sun I but I also hope she's not becoming a mole' as he put the basket down in the shade away from the sun "nezuko you think you can fit in this" she shook her head than tanjiro thought back to when she got strong "hey nezuko if you can grow could you try to shrink" as he moved it closer "come on nezuko shrink" as she walked out the hole and got in the basket as she shrunk down a few sizes "good job nezuko now let's head to Mt. Sagiri to fine the man Giyu told us about"
as they set off covering a lot of ground and meeting a few people. It was almost night fall when they made it to the mountain. Tanjiro had finally climbed most of the mountain but sadly it was already night and he was warned several times about something being up in the woods 'let's hope it's not a high up demon' he thought as he passed a strange house that made him stop dead 'those poor people' he thought as he seen a demon eating a dead couple "hey what are you doing here you smell human to me" the demon said as it charged tanjiro who pulled out his sword "SUN BREATHING FITH FORM FIRE WHEEL" as he cut off the demons head 'please god don't let him become a demon in the next life' tanjiro always prayed after killing a demon he never really felt good about killing the ones that would roam up the mountain ever now and then and them as he learned of the curse muzan out on them 'that man is a true monster.'
Tanjiro buried the bodies of the dead couple 'I'm sorry I wasn't here faster please god allow them to find each other in the next life.' When tanjiro was finished he looked up and saw a man in a red mask and a cloud jinbei kimono "let me ask you tanjiro what do you plan on doing if your sister takes a human life" tanjiro's eyes went wide 'I never thought of it what do I do' as the man said something mind shocking "if your sister does take a human life you have to kill her and slit your stomach" tanjiro eyes were practically buldging out his face "A-A-Alright sir I understand" as the man nodded "I am sakonji urokodaki to decide if you will be my student you will have to complete a test for you to become my student." Sakonji urokodaki remembered the letter he got from his student giyu sent a letter
Dear Sensei urokodaki
I met a teenager in a forest not to far from Mt.Sagiri he wore a green and black checkered haori with hanafuda earrings and long red burgundy hair in a pony tail with dark red eyes he was about 5'2 he is truly different his family got killed by muzan kibutsuji along with his sister who was turned to a demon she's small has pink eyes and long black hair that turns orange at the bottom and a bamboo muzzle she also wears a light pink kimono is about 4,8. I'm telling you this because I want you to train them the older one is almost a master in sun breathing an art forgotten long ago and his sister will protect him even though she's a demon and I can tell she still has humanity left in her.

Urokodaki thought Giyu was crazy but now that he's seeing her 'she isn't attacking us how strange she must really have some humanity left" he thought. Tanjiro looked at another house very far up in the mountain "this is where we will stay your sister we'll be taken care of well here" as he opened the basket and laid a sleeping nezuko down on the bed and tucked her in "now we are going up the mountain and leave that sword" tanjiro nodded as he put down the sword and urokodaki recognized the handle 'ah he's the sun of that man well let's see how good he is.' While it was still dark they went up the mountain. When they got almost to the peak they stopped "ok now make it home before sunrise" as urokodaki disappeared.
'hmm I mastered his scent but he seems serious I really need to be careful going down the mountain' as he smelled the trail leading back to the house. Tanjiro was running down the mountain until he hit a trip wire. From that point everything went downhill literally as tanjiro was hit down the mountain by a log going into a few other traps 'I should have known he put traps on the mountain' as he was covered in dirt and bruises. Urokodaki was sitting down near nezuko after performing a spell when he heard the door open and standing there was a bruised tanjiro not as bad as he thought he would be though "I made it down the mountain" as urokodaki stood up and put his hand on tanjiro shoulder "You tanjiro will become my student."
Tanjiro's POV
I started writing a journal for my sister nezuko so when she finally human she can have something to read as I remember how much she liked books and tales. Everyday Sensei urokodaki made me go up the mountain and then down I would always run down and avoid the traps which I got good out until I could come down the mountain without a scratch and then he'd make the traps harder. But this time I really think he's trying to kill me all the traps were replaced from wood to metal one wrong move and I could die. I finally got my training sword it's a long silver heavy sword with a normal black handle and when I say heavy I mean it really heavy moving around with it is a pain so everyday after the mountain I'll do 2,000 sword swing or more depending on what Sensei urokodaki says.
Time skip
It's been two years since then and now tanjiro was 17 and nezuko was 15. tanjiro had grown to about 5'6 and now had a very muscular build and his long hair was still the same size as he regularly trimmed it with his sword. he still wore the same clothes and looked the same.
Tanjiro was walking up the mountain with his Sensei to the final test while he looked back on the years behind him 'hopefully nezuko wakes up by time I finish the test she hasn't woken up for two years and I'm starting to get scared I'm gonna wake up one day and she'll be dead and it scares me more than anything.' tanjiro and urokodaki were up on the peak standing infront of a massive Boulder while tanjiro was holding his sword "this is your final test you have to cut this Boulder with that sword"
Tanjiro's pov
From that day on he never taught me ever again but I new my blade was not strong enough yet to destroy it so i trained everyday on the basics. I was up by the Boulder when I said "dang this is hard if I try to cut the Boulder my sword will break but if I don't I can't got the the final test to become a demon slayer" when he turned around and a kid with long orange hair, wearing a mask and a strange haori was on the Boulder "stop whining demon slayers don't whine we suffer in silence and always rise up to a challenge" he looked at me I then said "who are you" as the kid hopped off the Boulder "I am sabito now come at me" I noticed his wood sword "wait I could hurt you though" as he started to laugh "your concern is appreciated but you can't hurt me."
3rd POV
Tanjiro disappeared with great speed 'what he's fast I didn't know he knew breathing techniques as he blocked a hit that managed to cut the sword "alright fine" as he brought out his sword "let's dance" sabito said.
Sabito was sitting on the Boulder while tanjiro lay there unconscious "so how strong is he" a girl asked as sabito stayed silent "seriously how strong is he" as sabito replied "once he figures out how to use his strength right I won't be on his level" sabito said as makomo came forward as sabito disappeared and tanjiro was shooked awake as his cheeks got a bit red at the girl in his face "h-hello" he said very politely "hi my name is makomo and I know your is tanjiro" as tanjiro thought 'she's kinda pretty' as he then asked "hey makomo can I please ask a question" she then replied "of course what is it" he then looked down at the ground "why do we do this?" He asked she looked away "because it's all we can do" he saw everything in a new light after that" from that day on makomo helped him train mastering water breathing and total concentration. Tanjiro was meditating in a clearing where the Boulder was "ah so are you ready to lose again" as tanjiro stood up and inhaled and exhaled deeply "Total concentration" as sabito prepared tanjiro stood up and charged "WATER BREATHING THIRD FORM FLOWING DANCE" as he sliced through saburo's mask revealing his scarred face "you did it good job" he said with a smile as the fog left and they we're gonebut the Boulder was cut in half "I did it" tanjiro mumbled.
Tanjiro came to the house where urokodaki was waiting "you finally did it good job now here put this on" as he handed him a kimono just like his and warding mask to fend off evil and finally tanjiro set off "goodbye tanjiro and please make it back your sister and I will be waiting" urokodaki said.
