Tanjiro was currently walking to the town located in the west because of some reports of demons snatching sixteen year old girls around town and them never being seen again. Tanjiro had changed a bit now wearing the demon slayer black uniform with the white kanji on the back meaning destroy while he wore his green and checkered haori and his hanafuda earring with his hair still in his pony tail he also rocked a black sheath on his waist where his crimson blade he dubbed the sword of the sun while he also got a new box that was sturdy and light that had more space for nezuko courtesy of urokodaki.
Tanjiro had finally made it to town there was a smell in the air 'fear these people are scared' he thought as he saw a man in a dull blue kimono he had dark brown eyes and hair with a distressed look on his face "poor kazumi hears his fiancé got swooped up" he heard other whispers but decided to not pay attention "kazumi" as the man turned around "I want to know what happened last night" he said in a calm smooth voice to not freak kazumi out. Tanjiro and kazumi were sitting on a bench "this is where it happened this is where satoko disappeared as tanjiro dropped to the ground and smelt 'there is a small trace of demon' he thought as he sniffed around "she just disappeared you said" tanjiro started "yes she was there one second and gone the next I don't know what to do" tanjiro then replied "take me everywhere you went I'm getting a terrible smell" kazumi showed every detail to the night and tanjiro still found the scent as if it was following them the entire night. It was late and tanjiro was back at where satoko disappeared "look I appreaciate the help but maybe we should rest for the night" tanjiro shook his head "that's when they come out" kazumi was nervous "what comes at" as tanjiro sniffed 'another scent just popped up out of nowhere' as tanjiro started sprinting "it's on the move let's go" as kazumi followed "WAIT UP" as he kept running 'woah he's fast and for a kid his age' as tanjiro leaped up a two story building 'he must be the real deal he is a demon slayer' tanjiro had followed the scent in a circle back to where satoko was taken 'hes here but where' as he smelled and pulled out his sword out and jumped to the left stabbing his sword into the ground causing a girl to appear from underground as a black hole in the ground zoomed towards her tanjiro grabbed her a demon stuck his head out "hey she's gonna go stale dammit" kazumi had caught up now "what do you mean stale" tanjiro asked cautiously "I've feasted on many sixteen year old girls in this town but it's never enough" when another demon came out looking more fancier 'they're scent is the same meaning he split himself up' "well that may be the case for you but I've had a good amount" that's when tanjiro handed the girl to kazumi "the girl you took last night satoko where is she" that's when the fancy demon said "well I don't catch the names but if her hairpin is in this collection I'm sorry I've already eaten her" as kazumi started crying as he noticed the same hairpin satoko family wear "how could you take lives like that every soul is precious no matter what" tanjiro said as another demon appeared grinding it's teeth as the fancy demon disappeared same with the one that would grind teeth as he started underground 'it's breathable I could go' as tanjiro set down the box "kazumi I'm going underground nezuko here should keep you safe" as he let nezuko out and the demon got confused "WHY ARE YOU WORKING WITH A HUMAN" he yelled as tanjiro jumped under nezuko rushed the demon 'she's strong why is she so strong he must have gave her a lot of blood to be this strong' he thought as she hit him sending him flying.
With tanjiro
Tanjiro was underground 'the air is thin but not thinner then Mt.Sagiri' as he smelled the two demons coming at him "Total concentration" as tanjiro readied himself and inhaled deeply and exhaled "WATER BREATHING SIXTH FORM WHIRLPOOL" tanjiro twisted his upper body causing a whirlpool that cut the two demons heads off 'now to help nezuko'
With nezuko
Nezuko had kept the demon back with her strong kicks and punches when the demon almost had her head "LEAVE HER ALONE" as tanjiro cut the demons arms off and pushed him against the wall " I have a couple of questions for you" when he was about to open his mouth tanjiro cut his jaw "now who is Muzan Kibutsuji" as the demon got visibly scared "no I can't tell" he said as tanjiro asked "why?" As the demon yelled "I CANT TELL I CANT TELL I CANT TELL" as he tried to get up to get away tanjiro sliced his head off. The sun started to come up as nezuko was back into the box healed and tanjiro had grabbed something "I'm sorry kazumi" as kazumi yelled "what do you know your just some kid how do I move on from here" kazumi was sobbing as tanjiro grabbed his hand and smiled sadly at him "kazumi No matter how many people, you may lose, you have no choice but to go on living" as kazumi went wide eyed 'how does he know that' "I'll talk to the parents of your fiancé."
Tanjiro had finally found the address and knocked on the door "hello" he called out as two people came to the door "yes" as tanjiro then said "are you guys satoko's parents" they nodded "I'm sorry but it's been discovered you daughter was murdered and eaten" the parents were shocked as the mom dropped crying and the dad they were sobbing at this point as tanjiro hugged them "don't worry I've dealt with who did it" as the husband asked "who...*sob* was it...*sob*" tanjiro replied "it was a demon it's been dealt with and can't harm anyone else" as the man then looked at his wife "I told you we should've never allowed them to get married he couldn't protect my daughter" he said as tanjiro shook his head "kazumi couldn't have done anything the demon was to strong" the man hit tanjiro in the cheek not strong enough to make tanjiro flinch. The man was shocked 'how could a kid be so tough' as he grabbed his hand "I'm sorry sir I didn't make it in time to save her I did recover her hairpin but I gave it to kazumi as memory"as the man looked up to see tanjiro's sad smile that said to much.
