Kaira Henderson.

I woke up in the morning again like any normal person would, but I found myself sleeping on the couch with a...blanket?

When did I get a blanket?

I huff and brush it off me. I probably just put it on me last night before drifting off to sleep. I groan to myself as the sunshine shines in my eyes and pull the thin blanket over my head to shield myself, decide to go back to sleep. We're going to Hogwarts tomorrow. I just hope everything goes well. I'm going to a place I've never even heard about before, and I hope to my life that this is all real and not some silly prank. Were my parents 'muggles', as Hagrid told me they call it? Or were they actually magical and never told us for whatever reason? Whatever it was, I'm just glad we won't be seeing much of Jake anymore. I hope to see my siblings soon too.

I flinch once the blanket was suddenly thrown off of me. "Up. Get up."

Draco. Of course it's Draco. Who else would it be? No one can be so annoying and fucking stupid like him.

"What do you want?" I moan. I look up at him, who was looking back at me in sudden shock. He seemed unsteady all of a sudden. What? Did I say something? Is there something on me or on my face? "Staring is not polite." I frown.

He clears his throat and looks away, his voice suddenly comparatively deep. "Erm, I- you slept on the couch last night. Didn't want to disturb you. So, I- I let you sleep there."

"Okay?" I shrug and slowly stand up, looking at him with slightly furrowed eyebrows and a confused look. Why's he suddenly acting so weird? "Thank you?"

"Yeah, yeah. You're welcome." He huffs before uncomfortably strutting to the, what I think is, the kitchen. A huge kitchen.

The interior of the kitchen mirrored the rest of the house in its spacious and inviting design. The room was generously sized, featuring an abundance of drawers and cabinets, all adorned in a warm, creamy peach theme. The highlight of the kitchen was a stunning black emerald chandelier with golden streaks in it that hung gracefully from the ceiling, casting a soft, elegant light over the space.

In one corner, a small bar area was neatly arranged with an assortment of bar tools, making it a perfect spot for casual gatherings or preparing drinks. The kitchen was well-equipped with numerous stools and tables scattered throughout, enhancing both functionality and comfort. Central to the room was a large, rectangular table with two white stools positioned underneath, offering a cozy spot for meals or conversation, not like I would typically use it. I don't see why. It's not like I'm going to speak to him unless it's absolutely necessary! This table was situated directly across from one of the many cooking gas burners, seamlessly integrating both style and practicality into the kitchen's design.

I let out a long yawn before mustering the energy to drag myself up the stairs. My movements were sluggish as I went through the motions of freshening up, each action feeling almost mechanical. My mind was a whirlwind of thoughts, each one tangled with anxiety about returning today's, and mostly tomorrow's, responsibilities. With a deep sigh, I slowly descended the stairs once again, not bothering to change my clothes yet, the weight of my worries palpable with every step.

As I approached the kitchen, I braced myself for the routine start of the day, only to be met with a...a surprise?

I saw Draco standing at the stove, cooking something, perhaps, as I couldn't quite make out what it was that he was doing. He was clad in his usual grey sweatpants, paired with nothing but a crisp white apron tied around his waist and shoulders. The apron was the only thing obscuring his upper body, leaving his entire back exposed to me, along with some of his V-line. The sight of his well-defined, muscular  back, taut and sculpted with each movement he made, was unexpectedly captivating. I never imagined I'd find a back so attractive in my entire life... but in that moment, I realized I was more mesmerized by the view than I had ever been in a while.
