Kaira Henderson:
"Fuck!" Jacob lets out a heavy sigh, frustration evident on his face. He mutters something angrily under his breath, making me hold a stiffen laughter. The Slytherin common area served as the backdrop for the unfolding scene, a familiar meeting spot for the group.
Sarah's triumphant voice pierced through the air, "Hah! Take that, bitch!" She supported her declaration with a victory dance, reveling in the success of her recent move. The room buzzed with the energy of competition as the group engaged in an intense card game, each player focused on their strategy and the unfolding dynamics of the game. The atmosphere was charged with a mix of excitement and tension, creating a lively ambiance in the Slytherin common area.
I hate playing cards. Why? Because it's boring, a waste of time, and most importantly, I don't even know how to play!
Pansy's patience worn thin, she grabs Sarah's arm and yanks her down forcefully. "Sarah, sit down." The room momentarily hushed, attention drawn to the sudden action. I raise a playfully eyebrow. Even Pansy finds this game frustrating. Everyone was soon back to looking at their cards, planning their next moves.
However, the force Pansy used was a tad bit excessive, even surprising Pansy herself. As Sarah was forced back down, a wince of pain flickered across her face, registering the unintended strength behind Pansy's action.
"Ow!"Sarah whined and frowned, pouting at Pansy in a baby-ish way. Pansy just rolls her eyes at her childish behaviour.
"Hey!" Blaise remarked as he starts to soothe his girlfriends arm. "Don't harm my baby like that."
He put Sarah on his lap and they started cuddling. Draco, Jacob, Tom, Pansy and I all looked at them as they did so. Did they really have to do this right now? Right here? Of course Draco wouldn't do this with me. I mean, I think he wouldn't?
"Let's move on." Given that he is the only single person in this group, Jacob said and cleared his throat. I smile and shake my head at him.
I moaned after playing for two minutes. "What's got you knickers in a twist?" Jacob smirks.
"I hate this game!" I say and toss my deck of cards on the table in front of me.
"Why?" I placed my head on Draco's shoulder as Jacob asks, wanting to know why his 'favorite game' was so hated.
"It's so boring! And hard!" I spoke my thoughts with a detached tone, my words hanging in the air like unspoken echoes, and then, almost instinctively, closed my eyes. A sense of disinterest pervaded my thoughts, casting a shadow over the surroundings. The room's stressful and disappointed chatter faded into the background as my mind found a place in the recesses of its own contemplation.
I found an immaculate sense of comfort on Draco's shoulder. The warmth radiating from his presence melted me, creating a cocoon of solace that partially shielded me from the outside world. The subtle rise and fall of his chest beneath my cheek served as a soothing rhythm, grounding me in a momentary escape from the hard reality.
The comfort and safety grew, that I hadn't even realized I needed until that very moment. It was as if time slowed, and the world outside our shared senses stopped to exist. The tender embrace of tranquility invited my senses to surrender, and gradually, my eyelids closed to the gentle weight of drowsiness.
And with a soft surrender, the realm of dreams embraced me as my conscious eventually drifted into a peaceful sleep.

When I woke up, I felt...different?
Tom and Jacob were still playing cards in the common area when I woke, and I was no longer on Draco's shoulder.
