A call interrupted your dance fest in your car on your way home from (favorite store). You glanced at your phone and shut off the radio, answering it. "Hey Wilford, what's up?" You said, turning a corner.
"Hey Y/N! Can you come to the office please?"
Wilford breathed out over the phone.
"Yeah sure, what's up?" You answered.
"Okay thanks!" He said, the call ending.
You stared at your phone screen confused and shook your head. You rounded a corner, now on your way to the office.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You opened the front doors, immediately greeted by Wilford. "Hey! Sorry I couldn't tell you over the phone on what happened.." He said, you both beginning to walk down the hallway.
"No it's alright. Just as long as you tell me what's going on now that I'm here would be appreciated." You responded.
"Of course. So, Dark has been very stressed lately.. There has been a lot of paperwork coming in and more meetings are taking place recently and I don't think he has left his office for a week, much less slept." Wilford explained, you both now outside of his office door.
"Thank you, Wilford." You answered.
He nodded and jogged down the hall, rounding the corner quietly.
You knocked on the door. "Who is it?" Dark asked through the door.
"It's me, Dark." You spoke softly.
"..Come in." He answered.
You opened the door and closed it behind you. Walking towards his desk, an exhausted Dark met your gaze. His hair was disheveled, sheets of paper spread out among the desk. He glitched in his seat, Celine and Damien appearing for a moment, a slight ringing filling your ears. You frowned, walking around his desk as he stood up. You enveloped him in a gentle hug, him hugging you back. "Are you doing alright?" You questioned.
He hesitated for a moment before replying, "No.." He answered softly, hugging you tiredly.
You looked down at all the paperwork that was spread across the desk, most of the mounds of papers were about the other egos. "Why don't you get some rest and I'll do your paperwork for you?" You offered, leaving no room for him to argue, and of course, he did.
"No, Y/N, you shouldn't have to do my job." He retaliated, his voice strained.
"Well, you aren't well and you need to take care of yourself. I'm not going to let you do anymore paperwork until you are better." You stated, walking him over to a couch that was located in front of the desk.
You helped him lay down there, taking off his suit, unbuttoning his dress shirt, draping a blanket over him and kissing his forehead softly. "Please get some sleep. I'll be right there and I won't go anywhere, I promise." You said gently, looking into his tired deep brown eyes that stared back at you.
"Alright, fine." He mumbled sleepily, getting comfortable and closing his eyes.
You smiled softly, getting up from your crouched position and walked over to his desk, sitting in his spinny office chair and got started on the paperwork he was previously doing. Getting to work, you started to file documents and sign papers that were scattered across the desk, making a pile of undone and done work. The stack of undone papers was higher than the amount of done papers, but you were determined to finish it.
~~~~~A couple hours later~~~~~~~~~~~~
You sighed with relief, leaning back in the chair. It was now nighttime and Dark was dead asleep on the couch still, deep in sleep. He looked peaceful, which settled you. He needed sleep and you were just glad he was getting it. He deserves it for all the hard work he had been doing lately. Looking over the papers once last time, you made sure every paper was done and signed, you sat up from the chair and walked around the desk, reaching the couch. You lifted up the blanket a bit and got in beside him, wrapping your arms around him and sighing in content. After a moment, his arms moved to wrap themselves around you and envelop you in them, pulling you closer to Dark. They settled around your waist, securing you to the couch, your head now resting on his chest as his chin rested atop your head. "Thank you." Dark murmured.
"You're welcome, Dark."
