Pool Hangouts

The moon shined brightly in the sky, the hot steam of the hot tub clouding it somewhat. You and Dark are currently reading your books in silence and taking in each other's company. You sipped your F/D (favorite drink) and set it down once more beside you, looking over at Dark and smiling at him being so enveloped in the book he was reading. You looked back down at you're book at closed it, placing it beside your drink. You breathed in the night air and closed your eyes, leaning your head back. Geese quacked quietly in the distance, some crickets making noise nearby. Sometimes while you were reading F/B (Favorite Book) some birds flew overhead, chirping and communicating with each other. The cool breeze washed through the trees and through the air, it whistling by you silently. You came up with an idea, opening your eyes and getting out of the hot tub. "Where are you going?" Dark's voice rang out.
"I'm going to go into the pool." You responded, walking over to it.
"It's going to be cold." Dark stated, placing his book down as he stared at you.
"That's the point." You said.
You let your body fall back, your body being greeted with cold water. You resurfaced, staring at the hot tub where Dark sat. Except he wasn't there, you staring in confusion. Arms snaked around your waist, pulling your back against a chest. You laughed, looking up to see Dark staring down at you. "How did you get behind me?" You asked.
"Oh, you know," Dark started, his hands turning you around and lifting you up, him holding the bottom of your knees and your arms around his neck.
"Magic." He finished.
"Mhm, sure." You agreed, smiling.
You placed your head on Dark's shoulder, him placing his head onto yours. You both stood there in each other's embrace, welcoming each other. Times of peace like this was wondrous and sometimes even unbelievable. You pulled back while his head was still on your shoulder and ran your fingers through his hair, a sigh of content escaping him. He pulled his head out of your shoulder after a few moments, your arms coming to rest behind his neck when he did. Dark looked you in the eyes for a moment, them flickering down to your lips for a split second. He leaned in closer to you, his face stopping right before yours. A sudden yell made you jump, the sound of running footsteps approaching the both of you. "Fire!" You heard Anti yell before two streaks of water flew at you both.
Dark reacted quickly, putting his back to the attacks as he quickly carried you out of the water. You looked over his shoulder for a moment, and not a split second later a water beam hit your eye, causing to quickly pull back. "Fuck." You cursed, rubbing your eye.
He looked down at you worriedly, swiftly teleporting you both to your shared bedroom. He sat down on the side of the bed, you now sitting on his lap with your legs wrapped around his waist. "Here, let me see." Dark said, gently moving your arm so you would stop rubbing your eye.
You open your eye, it stinging once you did but you kept it open. He looked at you with a concerned look on his face, knowing that he can't really do anything other than wait for your irritated eye to get better with time. He frowned, getting up and holding you up against him, going into the bathroom and grabbing towels, and walking out onto the balcony, closing the glass sliding door shut. You buried your face in the crook of his neck as he sat down onto one of the sun chairs, covering both of your bottom halves with the towels. He rubbed up and down your back carefully, your grip tightening on him after a moment. A warm breeze washed through the air and through the both of you. Your eyes had began to get heavy, you closing them after a moment and melting into Darks touch. He stopped rubbing your back after a couple of minutes, just relaxing as you held him in your arms as he held you in his. "Darling?" He asked.
"Yeah?" You responded sleepily.
"Are you tired?" He questioned, hearing the tiredness that was laced into your voice.
You hummed tiredly. He took your response and got up, leaving the towels on the sun chair and opening the glass sliding door, closing it behind him. You both got dressed into some nightwear and climbed into bed. Your head rested on top of Dark's bare chest, your arm draped over his stomach as he had an arm around you. He gave you a kiss on the forehead before you both drifted to sleep.
