Chapter 8: Tensions Rise, An Amazon Brawl And A Reunion

Later that day, Nyx sits in her dorm room meditating. She says to herself, "Have to let go! But I can't! Why am I afraid of Valerie?"

Skye walks into Nyx's dorm room and notices Nyx is meditating. Nyx opens her eyes, and Skye asks, "Am I interrupting you?"

"No," Nyx says. "Everyone in the tribe is telling me to let go of the fears I have about Valerie. But I just can't."

"Ok, why don't you like her?" Skye asks. "She apologized for giving you that black eye, and she basically saved your life when that guy held you at gunpoint. What gives?"

"These weird vibes I've been getting about her," Nyx says.

"What kind of weird vibes?" Skye asks

"This is going to sound weird, but I feel a connection, and it scares me," Nyx says.

Suddenly Rena rushes into Nyx's dorm room and says, "I just got a text from Sofi! Nixie, Queen Sydney, and her just witnessed Valerie have a vision quest! Her past life spirit combined with her spirit of today! We all have to meet at the camp tomorrow to find out who Valerie is now!"

Skye gets a shocked look on her face as Nyx shakes her head and gets a serious look on her face.

The next day, all of the Amazons are at the camp. Nyx watches with a serious look on her face as some of the amazons gather together, talking amongst each other. Lexi walks up to Nyx and says, "This is exciting! From what Sofi said, Valerie woke up a totally different person after her vision quest!"

"Yeah, right," Nyx says, annoyed. "Who's to say she isn't faking this!"

"Damn it, Nyx, let this go!" Rena says. "All of us have accepted her! Why can't you!?!"

"She's nothing but a street punk!" Nyx yells. "She's fooling all of you!"

"Nyx! You didn't see what Nixie and I saw!" Sofi says angrily. "She's the real deal!"

"This is bullshit! She's fooling all of you!" Nyx says angrily. "I can't believe all of you are falling for her lies." The tribe gathers around Nyx, and they all start to argue.

Nixie, seeing the commotion, gets a worried look and runs upstairs to Sydney's office. She knocks on the door, and the voice of Sydney says, "Come on in." Nixie rushes in, looks at Sydney and Cyane seriously, and says, "You two need to go downstairs! The tribe is arguing with each other over Valerie! It's getting intense!"

All three rush downstairs, and Sydney and Cyane get in the middle of Sofi and Nyx, who is about ready to throw punches at each other. "Hey! You two, break it up! Now!" Sydney says. "What the hell is going on down here?!?"

"Nyx won't let it go about, Valerie!" Sofi says.

"She's faking this!" Nyx yells.

Sydney looks at Nyx seriously and says, "Nyx, we are all entitled to our own opinions here, but I can assure you, Valerie isn't faking anything."

"Nyx, I had my doubts also about her at first." Cyane says. "But I got to know her; she's not fooling anyone. She's the real deal, Nyx."

Nyx looks at everyone in shock and says, "She's has you all fooled!!! Every single one of you!"

"Nyx, you need to chill out," Skye says. "You're scared of something! What is it?"

Nyx looks at Skye angrily and says, "I'm not scared of anything! Especially her!"

"Hey!" says a voice heard from across the room. All of the Amazons turn to see Valerie. She is dressed in a 2-piece bikini type Amazon outfit with leather strings hanging from it. She has a Amazon head-band around her forehead, and her wavy hair is in a ponytail. The Amazon's stare at her in amazement, noticing the change in her. She walks over to the group, and Sydney asks, "How are you feeling?"
