Hannah sighed, running her fingers through her hair after sending off the last article she had promised Edward. She was proud of the work she had done in the last few days. She knew that she would be crazy busy soon once the team went to the States for the International Champion's Cup. This would be her and Marie's first ICC tournament, but Edward said he wasn't worried about them at all.
Hannah hesitated holding her phone in her hand. She considering bailing on Luke, but she knew that would create a scene the next time they saw each other around Carrington or Old Trafford. She really didn't want to make her work life dramatic. She pressed the call button next to his name. He answered on the second ring.
"Hey! You finished?"
"Yeah I did. Still wanna get drinks?"
"Yeah! Wanna meet up at the pub down the street from Carrington? The Bulldog?"
"Sounds good. I'll leave here in about five minutes."
"See you soon!"
Hannah sighed and hung up her phone. She turned off her laptop. Hannah then started to clean up her cube. She picked up all her notes she had taken that were all over her desk. She then started organising them into file folders.
"All done?" Marie peaked around the corner of Hannah's cube.
"Yep," she nodded.
"Wanna go get some food?"
"I would, but I already told Luke I'd go get drinks with him."
"Did you now?" Marie smirked.
"Stop that. We haven't seen each other since we left Brazil. He just wants to catch up."
"Can I come?"
"Absolutely not."
"You're fucking rude."
"You're used to it."
"What am I going to do with Dean?"
"I don't know. Get pizza or Nando's on the way home, and he won't bother you for the rest of the night because he'll be so happy," Hannah pulled on her jacket.
"Okay. I'll see you later then. I guess I'll take care of your dog-like brother."
"Stop that. Dean is a good kid."
"I know. I just like to give him a hard time. Don't do anything I wouldn't do."
"Whatever, Marie," she rolled her eyes.
Hannah grabbed her bag and pulled out her car keys. She and Marie, though roommates, had driven to work separately since Hannah needed to start prep sooner. She unlocked her doors and got in before making the short drive to The Bulldog.
All kinds of thoughts were rushing through her head. She had no idea what to expect. She sat in her car for a couple minutes just playing with her hair. Hannah eventually sighed and grabbed her bag. She walked up to the front and opened the door.
"Hannah!" Luke grinned and waved.
"Hey," she walked over to where he was sitting.
Luke stood up as she got closer. He gently cupped her cheeks and kissed her deeply. Hannah froze in shock for a second before kissing him back. She wrapped her arms around his waist as they kissed. It took a few seconds for her to come to her senses before she pulled away.
"I wanted to do that the moment I saw you today," he whispered.
"Let's sit down," she whispered pulling away from him.
