Hannah smiled as she got dressed. It was her birthday. She was planning on going to the café for some alone time before Marie and Dean started in on her. She was almost ready when her phone started to ring. She frowned when she saw Edward calling. Hannah seriously contemplating not answering but finally did.

"Hello?"

"Hi, Hannah. I need you to come in and finish up these articles."

"Hi. I know I have like six articles started-"

"Yes I need them in my inbox by end of the business today."

"Sir, today's my birthday, and I requested today off like a month ago," Hannah gently reminded him.

"I know, but I have people demanding them from me. Really appreciate it, Hannah. I know you won't let me down," Edward hung up.

"You've got to be fucking with me," she hissed, throwing her phone down on her bed.

Hannah stalked over to the small desk in the corner of her room. She grabbed her lap top and shoved it into her bag. She walked out of her room. Dean and Marie were making breakfast.

"Hey happy birthday, sis," Dean grinned and stood up when she walked towards them. He pulled her in for a tight hug.

"Thanks," she muttered, wrapping her arms around him.

"You're in a bad mood considering it's your birthday," he frowned.

"Edward just called me in to finish the six articles I started," she sighed, running her fingers through her hair.

"Really?" Marie crinkled her nose.

"Yeah," she rolled her eyes.

"Wait, didn't you request your birthday off?" Dean tilted his head at her.

"Yeah. But you know duty calls," she forced a laugh.

"I'm sorry," Marie sighed.

"It's fine. I wanted this job," she shrugged and walked into the kitchen to get some snacks to take with her.

"I'm sorry. Do you want me to go with you?" Dean offered wrapping his arm around her shoulders.

"No it's okay, but thanks for the offer. Hopefully I can finish quickly and have the rest of the day."

"Okay. We'll still do dinner, yeah?" He tilted his head at her.

"Course," she smiled.

"Good. Good luck. I love you," he leaned down and kissed her cheek.

"I love you too, Deano."

"Sorry, Hannah," Marie walked over and squeezed her shoulder.

"It happens," she sighed grabbing a water bottle, "I'll see you all later?"

"Absolutely," Marie nodded.

Hannah waved good bye and walked out of the apartment. She opened up her protein bar and began munching it as she started down the stairs. She shook her head. Hannah had been looking forward to having the day off. She didn't usually take it off, but she had decided to this year since she was so busy.

She was almost at her car when she felt her phone vibrating in her pocket. She waited until she was in her car to pull it out. When she did, a big smile broke out on her face. It was a text from Luke.
