When we got off the bus, everyone was amazed by the massive building.
"How do they even afford something like this?" I wondered quietly. While we were all tuned in to Pro Hero Thirteen's speech, a giant, dark purple warp suddenly materialized behind us. A bunch of villains emerged from it.
"Those are real villains!" Aizawa yelled.
One of the villains in the group asked, "Where's All Might?" The events that followed were a bit of a blur. Aizawa was fighting the villains, and Kirishima and Bakugou were dealing with the strange warp gate. Thirteen used her power against the villains—hold on, AM I ACTUALLY FALLING THROUGH THE AIR?!
I find myself on a ship and spot Izuku, Tsu, and... Mineta. The surroundings are filled with water.
"These villains must be pretty dumb to put Tsu and me near water," I remark.
"I don't think they know our quirks," Izuku responds.
"Yeah, if they knew I was a frog, they'd probably have put me in the fire area," Tsu points out. Looking down, I notice villains in the water below, and Mineta starts panicking.
I swiftly move my hand, causing the water where the villains are to freeze completely. Jumping off the ship, I walk effortlessly on the ice, passing over the heads of the villains. Once I reach solid ground, I see everyone else still on the ship. "Come on!" I call out.
"No, thanks, we'll stay here," Izuku calls back. I shrug and run off before unfreezing the ice. A quick realization hits me that I unfroze not just the ice but also the water.
"Sorry!" I apologize, bending water from a nearby trench to attack the area where I see Aizawa fighting the other villains. (Looked like gif down there basically)
Some of the villains are being carried away, and I repeat the process to keep them at bay. I'm fortunate that my quirk doesn't seem to have a limit, but I can feel myself growing tired. Continuously smashing water onto the villains takes its toll. I sprint towards the rest of the class.
"Where is he?!" I shout, and Uraraka points to the water fountain. What I witness shocks me – Aizawa is seriously injured. Without hesitation, I start running and don't stop.
"Nakano!" Uraraka's voice rings out behind me. I keep going until I reach a substantial source of water. Creating a protective shield around me with the water, I block attacks from other villains. Then, I channel the water into a massive wave, riding on it with determination.
I attempt a kick directly at Nomu, causing him to tumble with the giant wave, but he quickly resurfaces. Exhaustion hits me hard, and I collapse back onto someone.
"Nakano, are you okay?" Kirishima inquires. I nod wearily before mustering the strength to stand up, preparing for the next water source.
"Get back to the class, idiot!" Bakugou yells. I notice Izuku and Todoroki are also present. I glance up and almost faint.
It can't be him... Shigaraki. I had encountered him a few years before my father went to jail.
He grins upon seeing me. "Azusa! Nice seeing you here," Shigaraki remarks. "I see you've improved with your quirk; you were a prodigy!" Kirishima, Bakugou, Todoroki, and Izuku exchange confused glances. "Have you been honing your blood-bending skills? You would've been a valuable asset in the League of Villains."
"Nakano, how does he know you?" Izuku asks.
(Narrator POV)
Azusa remains silent as Shigaraki taunts her. "You know, your mother must be so sad seeing the monster you've become." Azusa looks down, memories of screaming, crying, and swearing flooding back. Her mother left, convinced she was a monster.
"Your own mother thought you were a monster!" Shigaraki laughs. Hot tears stream down Azusa's face.
"SHUT UP!" she cries, rushing towards Shigaraki, attempting a punch that he skillfully dodges. He continues taunting her.
"C'mon, Azusa, blood bend!" a voice echoes, though its source remains unseen. Azusa is trapped in her own painful flashbacks, struggling to breathe, see, or hear, only able to perceive his voice. "Azusa~ I bet you wanna blood bend me!"
Azusa drops to her knees, crying. "Stop it! Please...!" The sound of stomping approaches from behind her – Nomu. He grabs her, constricting his fingers around her waist, causing her to wheeze. He slams her head into the ground, blood oozing from her nose and head.
Then she is thrown towards Shigaraki. "C'mon, Azusa! Don't make this harder! Come join us, fulfill your father's wishes!"
"Never," Azusa declares in pain.
"Fine." Shigaraki's grin fades. He rushes over, grabbing her elbow and slowly destroying the skin protecting it. Azusa screams in agony.
"Nakano!" Uraraka's voice pierces through. Everyone turns to see All Might's presence, his usual smile replaced by a serious expression.
(Azusa's POV)
Uraraka rushes to my side, and I slowly crawl towards the river, noticing that Shigaraki is momentarily distracted. I draw water from the river and apply it to my injuries. The water takes on an oval shape and begins to glow light blue – a healing process. Uraraka watches in astonishment.
As my injuries heal, some scars remain, but thankfully, he didn't reach my bones. Uraraka helps me up, and I start tending to the remaining minor injuries.
"Alright, everyone! Give her some space!" Uraraka declares, ushering the class away. I begin to feel the fatigue setting in, and as Uraraka continues to support me, I gradually drift into a slow and peaceful sleep.
