Chapter 37: Unforeseen Hope

After some time, Kirishima had left me and Deku. Currently it was me, Deku and Aizawa in a different room after the walls started to change. "Eraser, please step aside!" Deku shouted as he kicked down the wall. 

"Rock Lock!" I exclaimed, eyes widening at the sight of the two of them. One on the floor, one crouched. 

"One suddenly appeared and attacked me!" One of them spoke. The three of us ran over, a weird feeling in my gut. Rock Lock came over, a hand on my shoulder. "Are you alright?" He asked. 

"Uh, we're good." I defensively backed away lightly. Suddenly Toga's image flashed before me. "Damn it! I knew something was wrong!" I quickly jumped back, avoiding her attack. 

Deku puts a protective hand on my back quickly. "Watch out!" 

"It's me, Toga! I'm so glad to see you again, Azusa! I'm so happy!" The blonde girl exclaimed, trying multiple times to stab the two of us. 

Suddenly Eraser wrapped the girl up, causing her to stop her attack. "That's it for you, Toga Himiko!" She glanced back before using his bandages to flip herself around him, stabbing him in the back. 

Eraser pulled out a knife and tried to cut her, but missed. He let her go and she flew into the wall. Me and Deku began running over to our teacher, my worrying spoke "You okay?" He nodded, 

"I'll be alright. More importantly, stop Rock Lock's bleeding and get the knife." I nodded running over to Rock Lock. 

Then, out of nowhere the floor began to rise. "Oh my fucking-!" I cry out but fall.

As Deku forcefully broke through the wall, my eyes widened at the sight of Lemillion and... 'Eri!' My astonishment grew as Izuku punched the masked villain, sending him flying. Sir and I rushed over to Eri and Lemillion, and as Sir embraced them, I stood by, witnessing the emotional reunion. "You did amazing, Mirio."

My attention shifted down to Eri, who was already looking at me. With a reassuring smile, I waved at her and approached. "Hey, it's gonna be okay now! No need to worry." However, the ground suddenly trembled, prompting me to swiftly grab Eri from Sir's arms. Chaos ensued as we were all sent flying, trying to evade the spiky floor that emerged.

Amidst the turmoil, a purple explosion erupted, and Overhaul underwent a terrifying transformation. 'He looks even scarier now.' The villain launched an attack, and I focused my energy, conjuring a dragon made of water. It required nearly all my effort, but the watery creature moved and, with a fierce motion, opened its mouth, shooting out ice shards. Some struck Overhaul, but it wasn't enough to bring him down. 

Izuku smashes Overhaul away, and Sir comes to help. "Are you guys okay?" Izuku comes over and asks. 

He creates a path for the four of us to escape. "That's... enough... I'm sorry..." Eri begins to cry. I look away from Eri, my eyes widening. 'No...' Izuku and Mirio watch as Sir falls down to the ground, blood pooling out of his mouth. 

A sharp piece of pierces through him. "SIR!!!!" 

Izuku and I force ourselves over to Overhaul. My brows as I ball my fist. "Lemillion, please take care of Eri!" Izuku turns around, I turn too and nod. 

"Come on, Deku!" I growl, throwing myself  at Overhaul. I use my water dragon again, he's only able to dodge a few sharp icicles that the dragon shoots at him as some cut his skin. 

He hisses, glaring at me. "Give up! It'll just end up just like I said-you'll all die!" 

"I won't let that happen, even if it was, I'll punch that future!" Deku runs over, the two of us dodging the sharp rocks. Izuku throws himself into the roof and tries to kick him on his head, but isn't able to. I try and roundhouse kick him but he jumps back.
