Prologue (Revised)

Kat's POV

3 years ago...

"Harry?" I said to my best friend who was sitting on the couch at my house. He turned my way. "Thanks for coming." It was my 11th birthday and it was Harry's too! He was gonna spend the night!

Oh my gosh! I am so sorry! I'm Kat. Kat Stone! I have blonde hair that comes down to about mid waist. I also have galaxy eyes. They are a mixture of blue, purple, black, and grey. I am about 5'1. My best friend's name is Harry Potter. We have been best friends forever! We are also neighbors.

"No problem!" Harry replied with a smile.

"Oh. I almost forgot! I got you a present!" I announced.

"I did too! Me first!" He replied in a childish voice.

"Fine!" I huffed. He chuckled. I tried to keep myself from grinning, but I failed miserably! Suddenly, we heard pounding on the door. Harry pulled me behind him protectively, on instinct. We found out, unfortunately, that a giant was the source of all the pounding... he knocked down the door!

"Harry Potter. Come with me!" The giant said grabbing Harry's wrist.

"LET GO OF HIM!" I yelled pulling on Harry. But the giant wouldn't let go.

"Kat... Promise me you won't forget me. Promise me that you'll remember me when I'm gone." Harry said tears rolling done his cheeks. Apparently the giant didn't see or hear this.

"I promise." I whispered tears rolling down my cheeks as well. He dropped a box out of his hand as the giant pulled him out the door. Tears poured out my eyes. He was gone... forever. I picked the box up carefully, and I opened it. What was inside made me cry even more. It was a necklace and it said 'Kat' on it. I gently traced it with my finger while crying. I pulled out my present for him. I opened it. It was a necklace but it was a tag, and said Harry's name. I put my necklace on. (The one that he got her.) I realized something... he's gone, but I'm not breaking my promise.
