I couldn't see anything. I could feel my eyelids were shut as I was moving...downwards. Was I falling? The air around me was moving upwards past myself, gentle yet swift as I slowly forced myself to open my eyes. For a moment, a bright light blinded me before I instinctively moved my arm right above my eyes to avoid myself from becoming blind. As I let my eyes adapt, I began to realize that I was indeed falling, as I let myself descend past some clouds. The area near me was a vibrant light blue and numerous white puffy clouds that were looming everywhere. I twisted myself around towards where I believed the ground was to be located and I noticed a large city below me. I was indeed falling towards a city and I knew well that if I didn't do something about it then the moment that I would strike the ground. I would die. The thought of death filled me with dread. I had remembered seeing a video on how to survive a scenario like this and so I angled forwards and stretched out my arms and legs so that I would form into a shape like an X  as I kept falling, I decided to try something as I tilted a little to the right feeling myself move in that very direction. My idea had seemed to be correct, I could control where I was heading just by leaning to the side though, of course, I couldn't make myself maneuver up or down. I had gotten a better look at the city as I kept leaning to the right, approaching a seemingly quiet urban region. I shifted myself in a forward-like direction, letting my legs move towards the direction of the ground as I moved one arm closer to my chest while allowing the other to stay outstretched. I felt the energy rush through my arm as a white orb emerged from the palm of my outstretched hand and instantaneously formed into a scythe. I clutched onto the handle of the scythe with both of my hands as I raise the blade over my head and slammed the blade down onto the roof of the nearest building I could reach. The blade penetrates the roof, seemingly only a few feet deep, and I get halted to a sudden stop as I felt myself dangling from the edge of the roof. The abrupt halt nearly caused me to lose my grip but I kept holding on tightly onto the handle as I swiftly moved one hand onto the edge of the roof, gripping onto it, while keeping my other hand held onto the scythe as I push myself upwards, putting one leg onto the roof before boosting up the rest of my body onto the rooftop. I stumbled onto the roof, letting go of my scythe, and landed on the cold hard floor, my back facing onto the ground as I look up. I stare at the bright blue sky, out of breath, as I could feel my head swimming practically in a way that made me feel dizzy. I close my eyes as I slowly took deep breaths, letting my mind process what just transpired. The only thing my ears could pick up was the sound of the gentle breeze flowing through the air but nothing more which seemed odd, even for an urban area. Usually, there would at least be the sound of cars driving or people walking but there wasn't any of that which made me wonder if I happened to stumble across an abounded region of the city. I let out a shaky sigh and open my eyes as I forced myself to sit up. I took a moment to realize that I was on what appeared to be one of those flat roofs of apartments where it would almost seem like a balcony in a way. Suddenly I hear the sound of a door opening which sparked a sudden panic to course through me as I looked towards the direction of the sound. A woman was standing there, who seemed to be in her forties, staring at me wide-eyed as we met eye contact with each other. She was standing in a doorway to what seemed to be the inside of the building as she quickly closed the door behind her and rushed over to me still having that wide-eyed stare but as she got closer, I could tell that she had a look of fear and concern on her face. "Y-You shouldn't be out here, especially at this time! What if they see you?!" There was a tone of wariness in her voice but as she said that, a question surfaced in my mind. Who were they? Before I got a chance to speak, the woman gripped my arm and yanked me off the ground harshly as my legs buckled forward the instant I stood and I stumbled a little before being caught by the woman's strong yet supporting grip as she led me inside the building.
