There were some gasps and murmurs around the bus, people starting to speak louder, making Luke feel trapped, he didn't like close spaces, he was asthmatic and claustrophobic, he knew that things like this could happen but he also knew there's was now way of knowing how long he'll be trapped there

Luke was starting to freak out, he needed to get out of there "Mikey..." he muttered and the blue haired boy, knowing perfectly how uncomfortable his best friend was, switched his seat, sitting next to the terrified lad and taking his hand

"Shh.. I'm right here, it's just a blackout, we'll get outta here soon" Michael whispered in Luke's ear, and to be completely honest, Luke was glad the train had stopped; Having Michael so close is not something they do everyday, and he just loved the feeling of Mike trying to protect him (Besides that cologne is going to be his death)

"Thanks Mikey..." They stayed in the darkness for a while before people started to get impatient and opened the train's back door; They started exiting the place and not even 3 minutes later Luke and Mike were alone in the bus

"I think we should follow them" Michael whispered to luke who just nodded in response, he only wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. They moved in the dark, the only light coming from Michael's phone

"How do we get outta here?" Luke asked, his breath visible in the poor light of the lantern app of the phone

"Not sure, I guess we'll walk until we see a light" So they continued walking in straight line until the next subway stop, they didn't talk much due to the fact that there could be homeless people living in the tunnels and attack them, or the buses could start working again and they'll be screwed

"Are you recording this? For real?" Luke asked asked Michael who was happily recording the dark tunnel

"People need to know the only important thing that happens to us" Michael replied, pointing the camera to Luke and blinding him with the flash. Luke chuckled and covered his face, letting Michael be happy at his weird way, he loved how Michael smiled and his face lighted up when he was in his zone, and Luke tried to stare at him without him noticing (which wasn't difficult)

They got to the station (which was oddly empty) and started to find an exit. Luke watched a man appear from an alleyway, he was holding his side and supporting his weight on the wall, blood soaking his clothes, it looked like he just got shot

"Michael, look" Luke called for Michael who acknowledged the presence of the man

"Dude are you ok?!" He yelled to the man "Do you need help?!"

"Go away!" The man replied leaning to the wall and falling to the ground

"Sir you need help" Luke said as the 2 boys approximated the agonizing man

"I TOLD YOU TO GO AWAY!" The man suddenly pulled out a gun and started mumbling nonsense "I knew this would happen... They warned us and we didn't listen...they're all full of lies... we should have listened"

"Whoa, dude, put that down, we need to take you to a hospital" Michael tried to reason with the man but he wouldn't listen, he kept talking with himself, shaking the gun in the air like a toy

"Michae,l let's just go" Luke pulled from Michael's arm

"WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE" The man yelled before pushing the gun against his head and pressing the trigger

A loud explosion noise was heard and Luke closed his eyes shut, Michael getting in front of him so he won't see the tragic scene. Blood painted the wall and floor, a red river escaped from the corpse of the man who just killed himself for no reason apparent

Michael pushed Luke to the nearest exit, not allowing him to look back, his heart beating wild against the boy's chest "Just walk"
