"Oh come on Kakashi! Why are you acting so shy?"
Obito smiled lazily from the bed, blankets rumpled playfully. Kakashi was standing at the bedroom door, unconsciously rubbing his arms. His gaze was locked firmly on the floor in front of him.
Obito patted the space next to him. "Come here already. What are you doing? You scared or something?"
Kakashi glanced up and blushed. "Well, this has never happened to me before, so I'm not really prepared for this stuff, you know?"
Obito scratched his head. "This never happened to me either, but I'm not acting all timid about it, am I?" He side-looked the empty spot next to him and refocused on Kakashi. "Just get in the damn bed at least if you're gonna make this awkward!"
Kakashi looked as if he wanted to protest, but he walked slowly over to the bed anyways, his eyes darting to and from Obito several times. Just before crawling into the open space, he paused, as if unsure of how to proceed. Obito looked at him comfortingly and Kakashi finally slid himself under the covers, carefully avoiding Obito's limbs next to his.
Obito smiled in triumph. "See? That wasn't so bad, was it?"
Kakashi was still wearing his mask, so Obito couldn't tell if he was smiling or not. He made a move to take it off, but Kakashi shied away from Obito's fingers. "Relax!" he joked, pulling back his hand slowly. "I'm just trying to take off your mask." He reached out his hand again and this time Kakashi didn't move. Obito slowly hooked two fingers on Kakashi's mask and slid it down his face, fingertips brushing the scar on his left eye.
Kakashi felt heat rushing to his cheeks but stayed in place. Cool air washed over his nose and lips as Obito gently tugged the mask until it was resting around his neck. Obito started to pull his hand back but Kakashi reached up and grabbed it. Surprised, Obito watched Kakashi as he drew his hand towards his mouth and kissed it, soft as a feather.
Obito's eyes were searching Kakashi's face, taking in his nose and mouth that he hid day after day under a mask. Obito couldn't help but think that Kakashi was incredibly handsome, then immediately blushed. Kakashi noticed and said, "What? Has nobody kissed your hand before?"
Obito laughed. "That's not why I'm blushing."
"Then why?" Kakashi asked with a devilish smile on his face, still clutching Obito's hand.
"I just had a thought that you're incredibly handsome," Obito replied, a blush creeping onto his face. Kakashi, however, didn't seem fazed. He put a hand behind his head and cocked a grin. "I am hot, aren't I?"
Obito burst into laughter and so did Kakashi.
Suddenly, Kakashi stopped laughing. Obito's laughter faltered too and he turned towards Kakashi in confusion-
Nothing. No, something.
Obito stared at Kakashi's face, lips on his. He noted the fact that their hands were somehow moving on their own, as if someone had switched on autopilot. His hands were ruffling Kakashi's hair while Kakashi's hands were pulling Obito closer. Then Obito decided to close his eyes too.
Kakashi couldn't help but try to taste Obito's lips and sighed in delight when Obito pulled his head closer, deepening their kiss. When he ran out of air, he pulled back, breaking apart from Obito, panting. Obito cracked open his eyes and smiled, also panting.
"Well, that was...I mean, you were...wow," Obito stuttered. Kakashi peered at his hand which had somehow ended up tangled in Obito's hair when Obito leaned in again. Kakashi smiled and closed the gap between them.
