Few weeks after the internationally televised performance of the Brothers Gibb in 1963, they were invited by an Australian music label named Spin Records to sign a recording contract with them for three years. Within those years, they started recording more songs to be included in their first album under the label which made them busier and have less time to bond with Margaret, unless if it is a family dinner or so.

She may felt sad, but she understood. Especially the idea that she also missed Maurice's company the most because they just seemed to go along so well. For her not to miss him so much-and the other two-she kept herself busy with school instead.

"Three Kisses of Love" made Barry won his first Songwriter of the Year in 1964, but he insisted that it was the twins' idea and some of the lyrics, so it ended up the brothers having the award instead. Their first released single the following year, "Wine and Women" went to the top 10 for a month and gained minor awards. They invited their best female friend in the awards ceremony, and she couldn't be happier for them. She knew that they deserved the success as she had witnessed their hardwork and dedication in fulfilling their dream. She felt it was slowly beginning to come true.

But few months later, they never had any luck to have some of their songs in the charts. It may have left the boys frustrated and they were starting to lose hope. But Hugh kept on booking shows for the boys either on tv or on radio guestings, since he knew how determined they were to take hold of that star.

It was July of 1966, and Margaret's birth month. She was looking forward to celebrate it with the Gibbs, and it did not fail her since they do not have any gigs yet. She thought it was a perfect timing and she could bond with them again. The brothers decided to stay overnight with the Thompsons because they wanted to make up for those times, while Lesley helped out with her mum and her 'Aunt' Hazel in the kitchen. Hugh was tending at the nearby bakeshop during the day with Barry and James. The twins and little Andy, picking flowers, were at the balcony of the Thompsons' house.

"It's a good thing you have free time, guys, finally! I missed you sooo much!" She gushed towards the boys.

"We missed you too!" The twins said. Even if they were twins, they do not wear matching outfits on normal days. Maurice sports a black long-sleeved shirt and dark-colored pants, while Robin wears loose striped polo shirt and knee-length shorts.

"Me too!" The little Gibb chimed in and she chuckled, ruffling his hair.

"It's fun sometimes to have our own normal time again like this, you know," Robin said. "We thought we wouldn't have any shows again, but gladly we have another one in two weeks. I'm relieved."

"And we decided to stay until tomorrow, tomorrow!" Maurice said excitedly, and that made Margaret surprised.

"Oh shush! You don't have to-"

"Oh yes, we have to!" The twins said altogether, while Robin wiggling his eyebrows.

"Gee, we're just literally few steps away from our house... but thanks, you two!" The thought of them welcoming her birthday in a few hours made her smile and she hugged them both—and the twins went beat red.

"We have presents for you later!" Little Andy said.

"Yeah, it is hidden under the bed-" Robin continued but he was cut off by Maurice.

"Heh, heh, don't listen to him! It wasn't that grand yet, but we hope you would like it," he filled in the sentence with a grin.

"You don't have to... it's the thought that counts. I will appreciate whatever you'd give me. Just don't let it be another prank box or some spiders in it," she rolled her eyes.
