"Chapter twenty"

Third POV:

Everyone watch the blonde walk elegantly with awe, the once gloomy and lonely princess turns into the star and the empires jewel.

"I can't believe it, is this really princess athanasia?..."

"She grown much more beautiful"

"I wonder how is she so skilled at piano"

Gossip here gossip there can only be described inside the ball room.

Athanasia silently curtsey in front of the emperor and proceed on walking towards where the piano is located.

Every one was silently patiently waiting to hear the princess master piece that was making them really curious.

As the princess gently seated in the pianos bench, she sat up straight and ready herself to dance her fingers in the tiles.

'Hehehe....I'll show you guys a real master piece..muahahahaha' The princess thought.

The emperor just silently stare at her watching her every movements, on the other hand the second princess was looking at the first princess with displeased and envy hoping that the fist princess would mess up and be humiliated.

*Inhale.....exhale*

As the princess play the song the vibe feels like a mixture of dark and bright with a hint of joy in despair, a feeling of win and loss, positive and negative and most importantly WARNING.

The people that was listening was just taken back at the sonata she played they had a mixture feeling inside that made them speechless, awe at the sight of the princess playing with a genuine smile on her face as the moonlight shine through her that made her beautiful platinum blonde hair glimmer, it was truly a beautiful sight but.....the song she played was kinda out of the vibe.

Athanasia was enjoying herself letting her hands move freely on the tiles with a smile planted on her face, but only She knows the hidden of the smile she was making.

Sending a mocking smile to the second princess who was watching at her with a dark and really annoyed expression, sitting beside the emperor.

As the song played over and over the people got used to the vibe and just adore at how the princess marvelously played it without hassle.

CLAP,CLAP, CLAP

As the song was finished everyone stayed silent for a sec and then started clapping and praising her for her wonderful performance.

"The first princess is s truly a talented one!"

"Our empire is blessed with such a beautiful moon!"

"What a wonderful performance!"

While the people around her busy praising her, on the other hand her piano instructor fainted dou to how good and amazing the sonata she played.

The princess stand up straight in her seat and bow a little showing gratitude for there praises.

The princess was wearing a genuine smile.

The emperor was so pleased to the attention she got from his people, he was proud to have such a graceful daughter.

As the second princess was looking at the fist princess with an envy and mad look, that took away her tittle as the bright and lovely princess of the empire.

The emperor stand up straight to make an speech.

"Today we'll welcome the fist princess of the obelian empire, My daughter Athanasia De Alger Obelia, for coming back in the empire safe and in a good condition, In this night let us celebrate the welcoming party with joy as I hope to all of you to have a good time" as the emperor state the last sentence with a warning and dangerous look, everyone gulp their saliva.

'In a good condition my ass!' athanasia thought after remembering what happened to her after she got abduct and sent here.

The night was filled with joy and chilling Aurora as when the emperor invited athanasia to dance.

The emperor was very pleased to have a dance with his daughter but in the other hand athanasia was not so pleased at all.

Athanasia head back to her place as soon as she finished her speech for thanking the people who attend this nights ball for her.

"Lily...you took care of me when I was young right?.." sitting down on her chair Athanasia ask the maiden behind her who was brushing her hair after she had a bath.

"Yes, when you were a toddler to.." Lily replay while giggling.

"What do you think of me when I was young?....Am I annoying? playful? hyper? or kind?"

"Yes..."

"........." Athanasia didn't say anything as she just silently sitting there sulking.

"...The princess was very annoying, Annoyingly adorable and cute that you make me weak whenever you smile brightly at me, you where so playful that you make me laugh in joy, your so hyperactive everyday that give me strength, and you were so kind and loving that made me thank the heavens to have sent such a beautiful child to the empire" as lily speak with filled with honesty, joy, and pureness words to her.

One by one Athanasia's tears began to fall without Lily noticing.

"...You were my pride and joy princess, everytime I see you growing up I can clearly see your dazzling beauty a beauty that one cannot be compared, with a pureness of your heart. when someone rub the joy out of you it feels like my heart was torn apart, each time you grow your smile slowly fade I can no longer see the sweet smile, when you disappeared it feels like someone took away my world,my home,my joy....I cant explain how happy I am when you were home" lily whipped away her tears that was streaming down her cheek.

Each time Lily throw the words at her, Athanasia tears drop one by one as she can no longer hold back her sob, her heart feels like it was squeeze so hard that it hurts, feeling the guilt that rub on her she turn around and hug her nanny and cried, tears streaming down like a river in her cheeks as she sob.

"...hic..I-im..so-rry!...huc" She tighten her hug on her nanny as she repeatedly said the word 'sorry'.

Her nanny hug back and fall down into tears caressing the blondes platinum hair.

"Princess....I should be the one who is sorry for not taking care of you properly and I couldn't even defend you" Lily said softly.

".....wuahhhh...hic..ahh..wuahh~" Athanasia cried and cried.

As the night filled with tears and forgiveness, the moon shine brightly through the window, giving them more comfort the moon blessed them with a soft light and brightly twinkling stars, fireflies glittering in the window as if comforting them too.

As the two feels warm the tears disappeared and they broke the cries into a sweet giggling, finally the sweet smile I've known is back.

I sincerely apologise after a long long time without updating....Projects sucks.

I was planning to update on Valentine's day but unfortunately I haven't finished my task so back to finish my project again.
