anushree sat on the bench she was supposed to sit on and waited for aryan to arrive so she can have the saree. moments later, the awaited boy walked inside the class with a small smile on his face.
"oh finally, you're here!" anushree smiled, getting up from her bench while aryan dropped his bag on his seat. he smiled warmly at anushree before pulling out a paper bag from his bag.
"here." he said, handing the paper bag to anushree.
"thank you!" anushree grinned, grabbing the paper bag and opened it to find a beautiful saree resting inside it.
aryan just smiled and sat back on his bench as more and more students made their way inside.
when it was time for the republic day practice, aryan, anushree and karan exited the classroom, heading towards the music room.
"ah you three come here fast." sandhya mam said, gesturing them to quickly follow whatever she says.
there were few other students of various classes who were watching sandhya mam order them.
"so, everybody is here I think?" sandhya mam asked."yes mam." everybody chorused.
"okay, so you all have to do nothing at all. you all have to be present tomorrow at seven am, dressed up in your costumes. then you all would be lead to the bus which will take you to the stadium where your performance would be commemorated . there, you'll have to act as a statue. that's all."
everybody frowned and looked at each other before nodding.
what the fuck!!!? aryan made a face which clearly could be read.
"so if you have your costumes ready then write down your names." sandhya mam said, handing a paper to one of the students.
"what the actual f-" karan started but zipped his mouth when he saw sandhya mam coming his way.
he breathed out in relief when she walked past him while anushree and aryan laughed at how scared he looked.
"well I'm excited." aryan admitted.
"sure, excited to see anushree in a saree." karan smirked causing anushree to roll her eyes and aryan to mutter a low shut up.
