Hi! It feels weird continuing this fan fic after so many months, but, here I am, and here is chapter 16.

"Should I? No..." Husk murmured to himself staring in a half empty glass of whisky, splashing around the residue as he did. "But...Will he say no?" He continued.

It had been a little while since the whole accidental 'one night stand' with princess Charlotte and everyone seemed to have forgotten it or gotten over it. Everyone but him. Plus, he couldn't bring himself to finally talk to his "good friend" Angel. Even though Angel tried nearly everyday. It was a mystery to him how Angel didn't hate him, even though Husk hated himself a lot.

It had also been a while he had spoken to Charlie. He assumed she was fine though. The hotel actually seemed to become quite busy after the opening two weeks prior and he hardly saw her. She was either busy as hell, locked away signing things in her office, or redeeming sinners. Doing good deeds to repay for her own sins. The last time he had properly heard her having a conversation was when he had spotted her going into Alastor's room one midnight while he was going to the loo. But that...That now felt so long ago.

He knew for sure though. Alastor was not interested even if she was. To be honest, he hadn't really seen them speaking either recently. Alastor had been quite busy himself.

Husker continued to peer in his glass, thinking away. When suddenly, a voice was heard beside him. A voice he would recognise anywhere. Angel Dust.

"So...Ya need a drinking partner or what?" Angel asked, resting his pink head on his hand. Staring at the side of Husker's face.

Husk froze. A mixture of nervousness and guilt spread across his face. He had been ignoring the love of his life for too long now. Enough was enough.

"Ehhh...W-why not you...Dick." Husker nervously grunted out, barely looking at Angel. It was better to keep looking at the glass then possibly be caught with a blush.

"Wow. You haven't spoken to me for 2 months and you've already called me a dick, so classy Husky." Angel joked, going to the other side of the bar and sitting on the stool next to him.

"Whatever." Husk replied bluntly, acting coldly to any sort of comfort Angel gave him.

Angel scoffed at Husk and grabbed a bottle of Vodka from behind him. "What's your problem then? What did I possibly do that has ticked you off so much?" He asked, taking a quick sip awaiting Husk's answer.

"Nothing Angel, drop it. It ain't a big deal ight." Husk replied, turning away his head in a feeling of guilt. Turning back, he gulped the rest of his vodka and went to get up. Suppose it was to early to face Angel again.

"Husk..." Angel said, sadly. Grabbing Husk's hand as he started to walk away. Husk looked at him. Angel seemed...Hurt.

"Ya know...You're being really shitty. C'mon now. I miss my drinking buddy. Now tell me what I did so I can fix it, yeh?" Angel said, sincerely smiling at his friend now he could fully see his face.

"You...You didn't do anything Angel." Husk mumbled out. Looking down at the floor. Angel frowned at this.

"Oh yeah?" Angel replied, letting go of Husk's hand. "So that's it? You just hate me. You're a big fat, homophobic, drunk cat. That's it isn't it." Angel snarled.

"No." Husk replied again, bluntly. He played with his paws still looking down at the floor.

Angel angrily smirked and started to rant "Well it must be then. Because the fact you haven't spoken to me for ages out of no where means you finally found confidence to express how you feel after sleeping with the prin-cess—

"WELL MAYBE I DIDN'T FACE YOU BECAUSE I SLEPT WITH THE PRINCESS. YOU EVER THINK OF THAT ANGEL?" Husker shouted in an emotional fury. Letting out all emotions he had held in for the couple of months. He looked up at Angel with small tears in his eyes, although, they weren't visible due to the amount of fluff he had around his eyes.

"I...I don't understand, Husk?" Angel said, frowning at his friend in front of him, showing new emotions he didn't think Husk would ever have.

"Well...I'll sum it up for you then." Husk sighed. "I suppose Angel. I felt too guilty to face you because I didn't want to see you disappointed about what I did. Whether you go over it or not, I didn't. Therefore, facing you became a challenge so I chose to ignore you. It was selfish, I know. But I am selfish, Angel." Husk finished, looking up at his shocked friend.

"So...You didn't speak to me because you were too afraid to face me? Is that what you're saying? Because you didn't want me to be disappointed in you...Is that right?" Angel asked, slightly smiling at his now blushing, small friend.

"Yeh...That's right." Husk grunted, giving up on hiding his emotions now.

You're so naive Angel, it's so plain to see.

"So you're saying Husk."

It's so plain to see that.

"You're saying that..."

That I love you.

"That you love me?" Angel finished. Smirking and blushing a bright, strawberry red.

"Yeh- WAIT, HUH?" Husk shouted in disbelief that his mind was just read out to him like a book.

"HAH! You do love me! Don't you?" Angel said, excitedly putting his large hands on Husk's fluffy shoulders. Husk stiffed up, making hazy eye contact with his tall, pink friend.

"I-I...I guess so...In some manor...In some universe...Yeah." Husk spat out, barely being able to string a sentence.

"HA! YES! I LOVE YOU TOO DUMMY!" Angel cheered, smiling largely at the small, grumpy cat beneath him.

"HUH?" Husk loudly blurted out in shock. "YOU BLOODY DO?"

"Yes Husk...I really do."
