Catra took her place on the balcony, peering into the moonlit sky. Her pastel gold dress drizzled onto the ground, as her fur wisped with the cool breeze.

Even though it had been a year since defeating Prime and saving the universe, she still felt afraid. Afraid of the future. Afraid of what was to come, not just for her, but for Adora too.

Back when she was still on the Horde's side, she had seen She-Ra as this thing that had taken away her only sense of belonging. This thing that had come to change her best friend for the worst. This thing. This mask that Adora would put on, and she wouldn't be herself anymore.

Granted, Adora could still transform into She-Ra, but now Catra had realised that it's not something that has changed her as Adora.

Adora.

The girl she fell in love with.

The one she now knew would never leave her behind. Ever.

She'd always come back for Catra, no matter the cost.

But, what if she would have to give everything up?

What if this isn't a happily ever after?

A celebration was happening within the Bright Moon castle, but here Catra was, thinking about someone who was at very that celebration, rather than spending time with her there.

- "Ugh," she breathed, "why are the parties here so loud. I swear, Glimmer will find the smallest things to celebrate."

She wasn't sure who she was speaking to, since nobody seemed to be around.

Maybe Shadow Weaver's cold soul. Or Prime's.

The 3 aligned moons burned brightly into the everlasting darkness of the night sky. The largest one tinted pink, the central, medium one sparkled yellow and the smallest one shone with a purple daze.

- "I guess I'm talking to myself then..." she continued gently, " so..."

She stared at all the stars in the sky, as they dazzled with delight. Stars that were only safe to be seen by her, if Prime was really gone.

It dawned on Catra then, if it weren't for She-Ra, the warrior she had once feared, the warrior who had taken her only hope, then seeing the stars right now, wouldn't be pleasant.

- "I wonder if Adora could hear me talking to the night for the past 10 years." her breathes blurred the air.

As if responding to her statement, the largest (pink) moon flickered.

- "I'll take that as a yes." she giggled, smiling upwards.

The small fairy lights wrapped around the bannister she was leaned against, glowed from knee height, twinkling like the stars in the sky she was seeing before her.

- "Is the party any fun?" she questions, looking up at the moons.

The smallest one shimmered 'no', making Catra laugh a little.

- "It's tough, you know. I can't decide if this is the future I want, or if I want to go onto bigger and better things. But then again, what would that be? It's not like I can conquer Etheria. Adora and I have already done that, just like we wanted to since we were kids. Just... differently than I had first imagined. What bigger and better things even exist?" she stared intently, as if she was waiting for an answer.
