A week later went by after Flash gave birth to Volant. Everyone heard about the new alicorn foal. What drove everyone crazy was that it was a male! The first male alicorn after Celestia's and Luna's father. People wondered why did Shining gave up his title as prince for some guitarist, singer and actor?
Flash started to work out to get rid of the baby fat, got his abs back and went back to his strict diet. Still taking good care of baby Volant. Both gentlemen are. Shining continued being a lawyer, and signed up to be an author of his life. For extra money for Volant and Flurry.
Flash and Shining wanted to have half custody of baby Flurry. They had every right to. After all, Flash did had Shining's baby. That also make Flurry Flash's stepdaughter. So they made an appointment at the Crystal Empire.
Flash: "Are you ready babe?" He asks Shining, giving his mom the schedule for Volant to take good care of him.
Shining: "Yes Flashy, come on, we are almost late." He says, unlocking the door of their house.
Flash: "Ok mom, this is Volant's schedule to when to feed him, feed him an-" he gets cut off by his mom.
Static Electricity: "I've had to do this 3 times." She said booping Volant's nose. "I know what I'm doing. Now you guys get." She gestured them to the door.
Shining: "Tick tock, Flash". He looked at his watch on his wrist.
Flash looks at Shining and back at his mom. "Ok, bye mom. Thank you so much. You too... behave" He pointed to First Base and Blaze Vedette.
They both nodded slowly.
Flash and Shining walks out of the door, closes then locks the door, heads to the Crystal Empire.
Cadance was doing paperwork that Shining used to do. An intercom buzzed and a voice came and said: "Princess, sir Flash Sentry and sir Shining Armor came for the appointment."
She answers with a "Bring them in, please." She said still filling out paperwork.
Intercom: "Yes, your majesty".
Within 15 seconds, the gentlemen comes kn Cadance's old office and sets down in the chairs in front of Cadance's desk.
Flash: "Hello, pleasure seeing you again" he said.
Cadance nodded slowly.
Cadance: "So what was it you guys wanted to speak of?" She went into another paper to fill out.
Shining looks at Flash. Flash mouths "you got this". Shining responded with a "Me and Flash... would like to have half custody of Flurry Heart." He finished with a gulp.
Cadance: "Sounds good to me. I could use a free weeks off to myself. Flurry missed you, Shining."
Shining: "I know, but it's all worth it. We all miss her too. Me and Flash bought a house almost a year last year with 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Of course Flurry's room is already done."
Cadance: "Sound like you love birds got everything prepared."
Flash nods.
